Japanese Environmental Terrorism

Japan resumes whaling in Southern Ocean, skirting International Court of Justice ban

In defiance of international law, Japan will send off its whaling fleet today to kill hundreds of Minke whales in the Southern Ocean — a move fiercely condemned by Australia and New Zealand.

Will Tony Turnbull do an Abbott and look the other way?

I think we should just settle for sending SHY down there..hardly diplomatic but it would be a strong warning without us losing face.. so to speak.

We are not going to lose exports. The reason the Japanese are whaling is domestic politics. They have warehouses full or frozen whale meat they force school kids to eat because nobody else wants to.

From all the whining left BS about everything bar the smell of my shite, I'm beginning to have absolutely no empathy for anything they suggest as an issue.

The could borrow the boat from the Fictional Sea Patrol program SHY likes.

With any luck the Japs will Harpoon her, the New Guinea Natives called white man Long Pig.

The Minke are not endangered I don't see a problem with it, of course lefties like to impose their views on everything including diet in places they have never been

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.

Surely the right would have a problem with Japanese illegal fishing in Australian territorial waters?

Japans whaling/dolphin industry is crazy, the only reason it exists is because of pathetic appeals to Japanese ultra-nationalism to show "Japanese independence" on an international issue (which they know other countries won't take that seriously) to keep the far-right happy despite Japan is still basically an American colony in all ways but name. (it should be noted Japan basically doesn't have a left wing, their Parliament, the National Diet, is basically 98% right wing and the differences in party/factions are largely between Fascists, Traditionalists, Yakuza and Neo-Liberals)

It's purely domestic politics to the Japanese, whale meat as a market is basically a giant flop in Japan.

I would recommend people to watch The Cove on Netflix.

Only a handful of nations recognise Australian Antarctic Waters, the Japanese are not among them.
