Its been around in Australia for several decades.  This is a mild version.  Hutt River Province.

Why do you care? Citizenship to 99% of people means absolutely nothing. People get British, Irish, European citizenship all the time because simply a EU passport is much more useful than an Australian one when travelling.

Because you give up a piece of paper, doesn't mean culturally and ideologically you're not Australian. Do you think someone who came to Australia at 1 but at say 25 doesn't have an Australian citizenship thinks of themselves as whatever that country they were born in as?

Tony Abbott never gave up his UK citizenship and for good reason, UK (EU) citizenship is useful to have if travelling.

If they don't value it - then they can F#ck off and not enjoy the benefits of Australian citizenship

They can still get Australian citizenship when you have an EU citizenship. But they are too lazy. If you snooze you lose

As for travelling in Europe - the Australian passport takes advantage of the schengen agreement. There are 26 countries. If you are not traveling to one of these 26 then take sometime to apply for a VISA

It gets down to being a lazy a$$

The main difference with these people and the illegals entering Australia?

They have Australian citizenship

Thanks for clarifying the difference here, Maqqa. The police thinks it's a question of terrorism. It's good to know this is all about Team Australia.

But hang on - aren't we going to deport citizens too?

Well when we see deaths, we may start to go 'maybe these are terrorists'

Until then, continue on with your lefty muslim extremist love fest.

How dare you. Do you know how many Muslim terrorist suspects there are? These people are dangerous and they haven't killed a soul.

You can wait for these people to kill, but I won't. They need to be banned immediately.

Love fest. Didn't make one tiny bit of difference your defense for muslim extremists and collateral damage of people being held. Guilty by association is good enough for me with these murderous tools.

What does this have to do with Muslim extremists? We're talking about terrorists.

Who's side are you on?

I'm not on the side of the murderous extremists. I will give the group of people who don't go out on murderous rampages a chance to be caught out as they have not shown the tenancy to be murderous extremists.

Are you excusing these people just because they haven't been caught?

What kind of heinous, handwringing, cowardly, evasive, spineless apologism is that?

Who cares about that? Plenty of Muslims were born in Australia, but we're happy to deport them.

I am not aware of any case where Muslims born here and got their citizenship rejected

That doesn't matter. If you don't support them being deported, you'll be dealt with in the fullness of time.

Ban them. Shoot them. Deport them. Nuke them.

If you don't like it, leave.

I'm not, Homo. I hate all terrorists equally.

Stop apologizing for them. If you don't come on board, you'll be rounded up and gassed with the other traitors.

I'll give you one more chance - who's side are you on?

How does it feel to be an evasive terrorist apologist? I hope you're happy when they send the cattle truck round at 3am.

They say to breathe as much of the gas in as you can. It makes you suffer less.

Oh Double i'm not trawling through old threads. But Karnal does not condone terrorism. Not in the slightest.
