Yes. She was wrong. Plibersek was talking about Anebok disappearing. However the sea level rise data shows that to be very highly unlikely, except via storm surge. De Blum said to Plibersek 12 years ago. 12 years ago was 2003. Sea level is now lower than 2003 and indeed lower than about 1999.

So where did this mysterious island go? If it had disappeared, it should have reappeared. The long term sea level rise is 25cm, apart from 1997/98, which suggests that may be linked to El Nino.

So it appears Plibersek is also wrong.

Unless the disappearance is not due to rising sea levels and therefore not Climate Change.
