You claimed China has 1G internet. Where exactly? Much of china outside of the cities is yet to get the telephone and sealed roads.

Having just spent 3 weeks in the country, Tianjin to Guilin & everything in between, as usual our asian neighbours are so far ahead of us technology wise it is pitiful.

Sure you are correct, some places have no phone or sealed roads, they would be the upper northern China on the border of Mongolia.

Much like Gingerah WA 6725

So they get internet that is highly censored and a lack of person freedom.  I'd rather live here and have dial-up before that.

highly censored

Scope has quite adequately dealt with that issue, however I will add that I also had no issue accessing any site I wanted, it's called VPN.

person freedom

As with Vietnam I experienced far more personal freedom in China than I do in Australia.

Discussing this fact with several expat Australians over a few beers the conclusion was reached that the mix of western economy with communist discipline is just about right.
There are very REAL & very SERIOUS consequences for criminal behaviour which is why you can walk the streets no matter the time no matter the location with no fear.

The above in no way excuses the persecution of minorities such as Falun Gong or Tibetans + other human rights abuses.

But the image of an over militarist presence through the whole of society is mis information belonging to the 60's cold war.

Okay so in today's lesson china has no internet censorship and more freedom than anywhere else in the world.

Well comrades, you have done well in propaganda albeit rather obviously.

Once again you show your stupidity, Im in China right now yet have no problem accessing this site and many others, so much for highly censored.
I live in hope that one day you will be able to open your mouth without putting both feet in as you so often do.
Strange how everybody else can see the stupid NBN the Libs have saddled us with but not you.
You really are pathetic the  way you support this Liberal fiasco.

Okay... so your definition of 'uncensored' is access this site?  Try googling Tianamen squaare and see where you end up.

You would be the first ignoramus ever to say that China's internet is not censored.

You are correct with this fact, but the average Chinese person is EXACTLY the same as the average Australian resident.
They will believe what their government tells them over a foreign one (even with proof) 99.9999% of the time.

Their internet access & mobile telecommunications EVEN WITH government regulation put ours to SHAME, & that the nubb of this thread, We are being DUDDED.

It is however what you have been saying. You apparently have absolutely no problem with censorship or the lack of freedom.

You could at least give these notions some weak lipservice.

Books and websites are banned in Australia, do you classify this as censorship or an infringement of our freedoms?

Again the point is we are getting a substandard internet service, or in your mind does this not matter?

In South Korea a 1G Home plan costs $20 US a month, In China it is $25 a month, three years ago.

We are spending tens of billions in order to end up in ten years time at least 10 years behind where many countries were 5 years ago.

We are aiming to be at the low end of 2008 world standards in 2025 and it will cost us something like $90 B to get there.

I think we are all going to have to demand a level of proof from you. Not only does it seem unlikely, but it is also YOU - an inveterate liar.

I tend to back up most of what I have to say unlike you.

I posted a couple of clips yesterday showing internet standards at 2013. There is no argument that we are aiming at having a 25G system well into the future this is beyond argument, it is also well known that many countries have had well beyond that for some time. It is known that nobody is rolling out FTTN technology.

I find it difficult to find what it is that you could possibly disagree with.

Britain already has one.

And gradually moving to fttp.

But has FTTN which was the lie DNA stated (again).

I have never stated what technology is used in Britain I didn't know but they did install it in 2007 which is consistent with it being a viable option at that time.

How can I have lied when I made no comment on the topic ?

That is the point - it was perfectly appropriate to install 2007 technology in 2007.

We are aiming to have the same thing by about 2025.

so you admit you lied. Thanks!
