even if you forget all the rest of their incompetence since winning govt, libs should be voted out purely for entertaining this dumb idea.

And no ACTUAL change in the Labor or Liberal votes. Just a 1% increase in the Green vote.

For someone who loves to redefine outcomes, you seemed to have missed that. Anyhow, come back with newspoll or galaxy have something to say.

You only get one Alan Bond/Malcolm Turnbull in a lifetime...

Which LNP cronies are going to reap the most benefit from this rising insanity?

Truly, brothers and sisters, the silverware and furniture is being stolen out from under us while we sleep, and is being auctioned off in plain sight in our own front yard while we look on helpless.

Been reading up on Russian corruption - amazingly - the courts there will find in favour or an outrageous tax bill on a foreign company, force them to sell up by giving them like 24 hours notice to cough up - and then government flunkeys and cronies buy it all up at rock bottom prices.  All controlled by the government itself.... for the benefit of the insiders.....

Anyone else see a bell ringing here with NBN?

'We' buy it - our elected government pours billions into it - then the same government sells it back at rock bottom prices to the organisations 'we' bought it off originally, thus taking a huge loss.. which We The People pay for!!  Then wait for prices to go up to sustain this 'privatised' industry.....

Am I alone in being flabbergasted?

We're being robbed blind every day by our own governments, who think it is 'normal' behaviour!

There was a doco on someone who made the thing before the vacuum tube,.. the tube that still had gas in it. Someone sued him because it didn't work as good as he said it would and AT&T bought the idea for a song so he could pay off his legal fees then proceeded to remove the gas and the rest is history  Shocked Shocked

A lot of ifs, buts and maybes in that report. I guess what horrifies some of you is the idea that if you want fibre from the node to your home you might have to *shock horror* PAY FOR IT!

I think I will wait until there is an actual proposal on the table before getting all bent out of shape of a possible, maybe one-day perhaps sale.

Oh, maria thinks the idea of natural monopolies hasn't been examined before and everyone came down in the last shower because her pussy told her so?

This sham 'government' wantonly destroyed the NBN proper, simply because it was a Labor initiative.

They should rot in jail for it, Abbott and Turnbull in particular.

How could he NOT have a terrible week while ever he sticks to the failed Abbott/Hockey premise for 'governance' of this country?

Thatcherism/Reaganism had has its day - when will governments here learn that they do NOT possess the absolute right to dictate whatever they want for their own benefit and that of their cronies?

They may be having themselves on if they thing any self respecting Telco will buy a copper NBN at the sort of price they seem to be asking.

Telstra has only just dumped all their old unwanted junk - why would they buy it back?
