Competition is what brings prices down,many of those who shop at Aldi will agree with this fact. The government never does anything cheaper than private business, the new airport at Toowoomba is evidence of this.

The NBN would already be seeing an increase in GDP (it could do with it, 2.5% is riculously low) employment and exports. It amounts to a HUGE tax CUT.

In the main NBN thread, back a ways, I posted extracts of Hansard of the Estimates Committee on the NBN. There was lots of testimony supporting all I have said. Rural areas, rural councils were among the most gung ho for the NBN! Hell, Barnaby and Nash, back when Howard was PM, designed something very similar to the NBN.

So the man on the land is one of the groups most let down by the bloody Libs and Nats!

We don't have to wait a week to download or upload videos or large files you are full of it.

In rural areas the NBN will make no difference to those who have no internet, satellite is cheaper than laying cables.

We should sell it off and let the competition between the companies come up with the best solution.
