The LNP NBNNN should be renamed 21CDUN - 21st Century Dialup network.

"23.95Mbps up 2.87Mbps 10ms latency and jitter 928ms"

This is what we are getting for the $56 billion - GREAT WORK THE LNP!

Q3 2015 is out!
Quicklist -

Australia still ranked 46th with zero changes from Q2 2015
Australia smallest peak connection speeds in Asia Pacific with 4% increase.
Australia with the smallest yearly growth rate of 16% (average was 25%)
Australia with the smallest 10Mbps adoption of 1.3%
Australia drops 2 ranks to 52nd of the 4Mbps adoption (slower rate then other countries why we dropped)
Australia drops 1 rank to 45th of the 10Mbps adoption
NBN FTTN gets a mention with may increase Australia's 15Mbps adoption

The MTM faster, sooner, cheaper option has been shown for what it is - ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!

And yet we have one of the best economies in the world and one of the worlds most livable countries.  Perhaps just  possibly, porn download speeds are not what makes a country great.

You have once again shown you have no idea:

http://www.amta.org.au/articles/Internet.in.Australia.rivals.iron-ore.exp

The report forecasts the Internet’s contribution to Australia’s GDP will grow by around 7% a year to reach $70 billion by 2016.

Lot of people didn’t like that but the Libs would do it anyway so privatise it properly. The Libs would do it like the Telstra privatisation again, incapable of learning.

This is the difference.

The LNP will sell it to Telstra without making them structurally separate.

They can either be a wholesaler or a retailer - pick one.

Hey boofhead... The last liberal govt gave you zero debt and a budget in surplus. Now another liberal govt has to clean up the mess. The current deficit is still less than almost every single Swan deficit.

'the internet'.  Curiously undefined, but that is what you get used to in debates like this. But if you were brighter than you obviously are, you would realise that this 7% contribution is all done on ADSL or on businesses pre-existing (non NBN) fibre.

But how is that possible?  I thought without FTTP there would be no internet economy and now by your own admission there already is... and it is working well.

Perhaps the reason is because the value is gained in BUSINESS not in RESIDENCES. And business already has it.
