Bill Shorten, the lowest rating leader in Newspoll history.
That figures.
While Malcolm's down to 60. Guess he can live with that.

That's for his party to decide. I guess they have written off the next election anyway and look at Bill as a good caretaker.

While Shorten is clearly unpopular, a 1% shift is within the margin of error, so it's not a reasonable indicator anything has changed.

What you're omitting is that Turnbull has had a significant 16-point reduction in his net satisfaction rating in the space of two weeks. The gloss is wearing off.

a drop from 65% to 60% is 16 points reduction?

Yes, he is at the same level Turnbull was.

Quote:
Lowest "Better Prime Minister" score

Brendan Nelson holds the record with 7% (29 February-2 March 2008).

Simon Crean (28–30 November 2003), Malcolm Turnbull (27-29 November 2009) and Bill Shorten (4-6 December 2015) recorded the equal-second lowest career low, with 14% .

Yes that's true. He could still be on a rating of almost universally detested instead of sinking to universally detested.

Correction:
1 when I mentioned 60% for Malcolm I might have confused it with his GoldmanSachs commission.

2 lowest leader figure should have been lowest in News poll history - Australian
