All these polls show is how ignorant the average voter is.

You truly are delusional. You think you know better than 60% of voters? All your comments show is how ignorant and biased you are.

Correction:
1 when I mentioned 60% for Malcolm I might have confused it with his GoldmanSachs commission.

2 lowest leader figure should have been lowest in News poll history - Australian

Still wrong though, as Newspoll had Brandon Nelson at 9% while leader of the opposition.

Fixed it for you.

The same can be said of Rudd. He won convincingly and turned out to be the least successful and most tyrannical PM this country ever had. He also cried like a baby in Parliament.

I suppose it all depends on your definition of success. I don't think we have had a decent PM for some time. Only time will tell in regards to Malcolm

Answer please: has there ever been a Labor leader as unpopular as 14%?

But me no buts and if me no ifs, a Labor leader worse than 14%?

No. There has been two Liberals at or below this though.

Shorten is very unpopular. Mostly owing to the fact he appears incompetent

As I keep saying, Turnbull is basking in not being Tony Abbott. Thats pretty much the sum of his appeal at the moment - you really can't point at any actual leadership or policy achievements to explain his popularity. And while people are still giddy about the guy who isn't Tony Abbott, of course Shorten's appeal will suffer in comparison.

What we need to look at though is what happens when the honeymoon ends - and it is beginning to end now. How will he navigate policy directions in a party that he is basically committed to upholding the stinking carcass of Abbott's legacy? Now that will be interesting to see.

While democracy and the current system especially could be updated to be more representative, it sucks less than the alternatives.

I will freely admit I am relieved Abbott is no longer in charge, scared the hell out of me.
