I shouldn't have any say it in. The system isn't there for victims and it shouldn't be. They need support and comfort, but not revenge

Rubbish. Its quite natural and proper to seek revenge. Most victims Ive come across look for it through the judicial system, many dont get it.

Many things are natural, it's not a synonym for good. It's natural to get angry at a lot of stuff. Humans have the capability as a group to set acceptable social rules. There is no benefit in indulging every emotional reaction people have.

The judicial system isn't there to assuage feelings. There a number of reasons why this is, from reducing crime to the fact that any emotional satisfaction is usually short term for the system not to be there for victims.

They have be hurt and traumatised, they need counselling and support to rebuild their lives far more than petty things like revenge.

the thing is this IT IS THERE FOR EVERYONE....at least it should be..

and that should INCLUDE THE VICTIM... dead or alive..

someone is saying yourself included that the VICTIMS have no rights....no court of appeal....and thats how it should be  ... dead means nothing will bring them back..

just because you feel lets say the sentencing is unjust...

why is that REVENGE..

why is it not JUSTICE..

which you say is the case when the criminal is given all these rights??????....

in AMerica those on death row are given something like 10 years to fight their case....in the mean time their victim or victims are almost forgotten..it all comes down to details.. points of law...

we dont have the death sentence anymore....we have 15 years...... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

and now it would seem yoiu can even have your sentence changed from murder to manslaughter all without going though our trial/court system...

its left to two or three faceless people...to actually make the judgement.... not the jury...

and yes I do think the LAW is very much our business...

and I am very glad to see.....so do many others....

if we leave it all to the faceless ones..

who are govt appointments...

with no VOICE then we get what we deserve...

you can vote for your sitting member.. but not a judge...

3 is a deliberate challenge, and you are right to leave it alone tonight.  I'm not even on my first VB but I will have a few later when ankle biters go to sleep.  It always had me a tad bewildered.  We allow medical students to do what they like with cadavers, yet we get all hairy chested and emotional about what others do when ...... life is extinct, and.......well.........nothing.   I really hope no-one gives a rat's arse what happens to me after I am deceased.  Have your evil way if you must.  "No skin off my nose."  Heck....there may even be a bitch fight about whether I'll be buried or burned.  Guess what?  I've long lost interest by then.

The offence of 'interfering with a corpse' was always a mystery to me.

Aussie - most probably your most pathetic response since I've been reading you.

Answer the Aunt Sallies I have posted.

If Baden Clay is guilty of Manslaughter then what did the three Appeal Judges discover in the Appeal process to be able to deem that Baden Clay accidentally killed Allison.

The how, why, when and where are missing from all of this, all we are getting is the Queensland Judiciary blowing smoke up everyone's arses.

If they decided to reduce it to manslaughter, we are entitled to know the precise reasons why. In  making him less likely as her murderer. Incidentally  what was published in the Appeal Summary doesn't go six inches towards him gaining the lesser charge of Manslaughter.

And...Baden Clay should make a statement indicating exactly how he did her in.

Of course this won't happen because Baden Clay has already damaged himself with lies and to further it would be untenable, after he is a F.............G MURDERER!

Most of those questions need to be answered by the Jury.  They decided he had caused her death.  Agree?

you dont get it.. rb....

eh doesnt have to prove he is innocent... the prosecutor has to prove him guilty...

and although there was only one person at the scene of the crime as it happened...that person ... the crim

IS TO BE BELIEVED AT ALL COSTS..

how anyone is supposed to prove

INTENTIONS...

I will never know...

maybe in the future they will come up with mind reading as a point of law...

I would say removal of body pretending she went for a run...acting like nothing was wrong for 11 days......

leads one to think he DID HAVE some "intentions" that were not healthy for Allison..

not forgetting he left his children alone....

all of which smacks of INTENTIONS to me... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

to cover up A Crime A MURDER..

not an ACCIDENT..

not sure I understand what that has to do with the LAW...and having no intentions is alinta??..

no matter what... he didnt exactly hide her all that well.. so can we believe there wasnt enough time to take her further away before daylight...

any dumb ass would know she would be found sooner or later...

according to the book..  he showed not a skeric of interest in the search...he stayed away....

it would take some nerve to not show some kind of guilt during that time...

only a cold heart creep who wasnt at all sorry could act like that.

self preservation doesnt do it for me....maybe he thought she would have been washed down the creek by then...

I think he was a cold hearted bastard who is  now crying for mercy....poor Gerard....

I for one am sorry Allisons family have to go through this....
