What a naive thing to say Aussie. Following this case it has already shown that Gerard 'was a piece of work' he even cheated on his mistress when he was at a conference in Sydney.

Also Gerard has shown nil grief publicly, at the death of his wife,  I'm not qualified to call him a sociopath but he sure shows the signs.

How many adulterers are sociopaths?

The average time served for Manslaughter is 6 years

I think you are running out of angles Mr Baron.  You've tried all that before including the 'sociopath' one.  See post # 421 at this:

Link.

I'm pretty sure we are all subject to the critique that we are a 'piece of work' but being one, ipso facto, does not establish an intent to kill.

It is self evident that is incorrect.

Indeed, who cares about the Law.  We just don't need it these days with people like you here to sort it all out.  Cheaper too, I'm sure.

the bloke deserves life

Maybe.  That's not a likely outcome however.

Quote:
it may be manslaughter if you strike out in the heat of an argument & your partner dies

Not 'may.' Is if there was no accompanying intent to kill.

Quote:
but when you transport & dump her body, make out she's missing, show no emotion & play the victim

then you're a callous, lying, conniving sick son of a b1tch

Kill him!

Quote:
& you deserve life in the slot

We've already covered that.

Quote:
despite the legals ... it shows that the law still can be an ass.

Do away with it altogether.  It just has not worked for centuries, anywhere.  We'd all be better off doing whatever we like.

I'd be interested in seeing your evidence to support such a claim.

I've not said, nor suggested, any such thing in this or any other thread.

If you think otherwise, the floor is yours ...

it must be lovely to have the court of appeal judges.. two men and one super lady.. agree with you....

I haven't expressed a personal opinion on this case (regarding his guilt or innocence), so there's nothing for them to agree with me on.

The one thing we can all agree on, though, is that the Court of Appeal has a female judge (which you have finally acknowledged).

rb... do you think there was a chance she could have been alive when thrown off the bridge..

it just seems strange to me... the blood in the brand new car...it was a stain with a run.. which under the circumstances seems strange..everyone said no adults were ever in the back of the car....the boot had all the kids stuff in it.. yet the blood was/is Allisons....

they also didnt find anything in the bathroom with Gerards blood on it...from his shaving mishap...from what little I know when most men do that they use toilet or tissue paper to stem the flow....and when you see the size of the mark it would have taken some stopping.... and considering how he claims he was rushing all over the place phoning Allison getting the kids up and dressed....would he have been that fastidious to have not left at least some paper around the house even in the bin...

it says a lot for future domestic violence murders.. hummmmm manslaughter cases doesnt it?>.

Ah, I see.

Would you have to be a grown up to understand that the Court of Appeal has a female judge, and that they aren't all "faceless men"?

Aussie, you no doubt has seen footage right from the start of the Baden-Clay case.

Have you seen even once, Gerard Baden-Clay display any genuine emotion at the loss of his wife.

He would make Cool Hand Luke look like a jitterbug, his responses to his wife's disappearance were as empty as a beer bottle at the football.

I'm not 'running out of angles'.

I have repeated my stance add infinitum to neutralise the legalistic rubbish you have been plowing onto this thread.

Please Greg, no more "faceless men" posts.

You're now worse than Scoot and his horses posts.

Ok?

What do you expect a bloke who claims innocence to look like?  And yeas, I've seen him on TV maintaining his dignity....not sobbing for the benefit of a TV camera/audience.  As for legalistic rubbish, would you prefer I use emotive hyperbole and cliche on cliche.  If you have an issue with anything I've said about the Law or the legal position, just say so, explain why you reckon I have erred, and I'll happily respond.

Jones.....just get out of this Thread.  Your useless attention seeking chatter is what destroys Threads....momentarily.

What would I expect Aussie from a husband whose wife has gone missing in mysterious circumstances?

Some form of humanity, no matter if they had been arguing for a long time. If your wife, the mother of your children goes missing in these circumstances I would expect the partner (Gerard) to show some form of humanity.

He always appeared as though he had just been reading the newspaper, instead of someone concerned at the sudden disappearance of a wife who had no record of suddenly walking off the point.

Just too pat...too casual..for mine. Like he already knew the answers and was ten steps in front of everyone. Which by the way..he still is..After all, he managed to confuse the Appeal Judges...even though that BIG QUESTION  of the Million Dollar Payday just didn't really come into it...did it!
