Donald Trump - to stop Muslim Immigration
Dec 8th, 2015 at 5:19pm

If anyone was going to play a 'Trump Card' it would be Donald Trump.

Trump has heralded that he will stop Muslim Immigration to the United States.

I'm not joking when I say this is a defining line.

No matter how much this may be unpalatable to the world.

In Election terms this will carry a huge load of votes for Trump. If he sticks with it, he WILL be President.

Brother wouldn't I like to see Malcolm Turnbull say that but hell hasn't frozen over yet.

The FBI Director said they do not have the database and/or resources to verify Syrian refugees

If they can't do it for the Syrian refugees - then how can they verify other muslim refugees?

If don't want your Country turning into a Paris like bloodbath then you act now...or you pay the price 5..10 years down the track, when they are strong enough to come for us...which they will.

He can't, it would violate the constitution in the US, so he would need to amend the constitution, there is scant chance of that happening.

In order to propose:

Quote:
In the U.S. Congress, both the House of Representatives and the Senate approve by a two-thirds supermajority vote, a joint resolution amending the Constitution.

In order to ratify:
Quote:
Three-fourths of the state legislatures approve it, or
Ratifying conventions in three-fourths of the states approve it. This method has been used only once -- to ratify the 21st Amendment -- repealing Prohibition.

He is not the first politician to take advantage of fear, and racial tension.   As far as he is concerned, he is ruthless in getting to the white house.  First he yapped about mexicans, and now muslims.   He also talked about locking up of Japanese shortly after the Pearl Harbor, so its no stretch of imagination, that if he gets elected, and there are more terrorist attacks despite his policy, he will do what President Roosevelt did.   And that, of course, will completely divide the great USA nation, and ISIS will be happy as they are one important step closer to their dream of world wide muslim vs non muslim war.

Interesting times, and terrifying at the same time.   One that I have predicted post Paris attack.  Its just matter of time before the far right leaders emerge from the world, heralding possibly the beginning of World War three.

One can draw good parallels between now and the time just before the Nazi party gained power:
1) Economy is not going well.
2) Muslims are been seen as 'traitors', 'outsiders' - very much similar to Jews.
3) Only difference is that Jews were perceived to be allied with Germany's state enemies, where as Muslims are been seen as allied with ISIS + others - non state enemies, but enemies nevertheless.
4) For the average people, this conflict is way too complicated.  History are mixed, blame can be set on either.  But for the average people, they wanted a quick / fairy tale type solution.   And therefore scapegoats will be found.

If Donald Trump , really got elected as the president, then I suggest that we should all batten down, and prepare for the worst.

I wonder if the Constitution applies to non-citizens?

The constitution is a limit on Government.

The first amendment states:

Quote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petitition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Basically it's got nothing to do with citizens.

Putin is accountable to no one. You want to live under that? What are you waiting for? Russia is only a short flight away.

A US president swears to uphold the Constitution. Trump declares he will not uphold it. Therefore, he has disqualified himself from the presidency.

Technically he could argue for a change, but like I said, I don't see it going anywhere. If however he says he won't follow it, I'd agree
