You mean a country that went nuts in celebrations over the killing of reformed people? The same country who could be our largest trading partner in a few decades due to it's massive (mostly muslim) population and situated location. Are Australian conservative planning on cutting their financial security nose off to spite their muslim hating face? Look at the greens, ignoring the blatant disregard to human rights, and the blatant corruption, in Indonesia, all for the sake of some money. So the death penalty is a driving factor on how we enact with the world. Can we now pull out of all trade, all trade pacts with the US involved, the coalition bombing civilians in Syria and Iraq ... since the US execute their own. Why just muslim countries who execute people? Where did I say just Muslim people? I'm very much happy to see the world economy being used as a driving factor for proper human rights and democracy. Otherwise what is the point? For the greens to be outraged about poverty but at the same time demand cheap shirts from Bangladesh? Now you are making things up. You're the one happy to ignore Indonesia's bullsh1t on the basis of money. Not me. You are cherry picking issues while ignoring the bigger picture. Closer engagement with Indonesia puts Australia in a better position to influence change as equals. Far superior path than your implication of wanting Australia to be a colonial dictator, demanding Indonesia to do as they are told, or else. Meanwhile you are making up things like the high lighted section. Now back to what you tried to divert from. Do conservatives think diplomats from muslim countries should be banned from Australia too? Do you buy shirts from kmart, target, h&m, harris scarf, myer, dj? And thats crap. As indonesia sees an increase an wealth while maintaining their human rights status quo there is absolutely no necessity to change. When indonesia becomes a top 5 player do you really think australia will have capaciyy to change? More greens whacko idealism.
