If FD asked the members to throw in some cash to keep it going - of course they would pay up, but he hasn't asked for anything.

If the members created a new site - then the original PA would become empty. So who would take it over? I think Aussie has already asked FD if he could buy it and his request was refused. It's obviously not for sale.

What a waste. Did it occur to you Monk that FD might not want to close PA. You've been demanding he do it for years and he's ignored you. As far as value goes - yes at times it's been abhorrent and I've had to have short breaks, but it's always been a challenge and maybe that's PA's appeal - its sheer perverseness.

No, I only suggested it now. It has descended to a clique with people prevented from joining. The amount of sheer filth there has increased.

What do you think of Skip’s lies that I and Aussie constantly post filth in the Vortex? He “has IP Numbers” proving that yet has somehow failed to provide such evidence—so how am I supposed to clear my name?

You begin to see why I suggest PA the clique should move to its own site, boxy’s lifeboat maybe, and leave here? They could then wallow in their filth with no one to say “nay.”

Funnily enough, I still don't think closing PA down is a practical, sensible or fair thing to do. This despite the PAers appalling defense (oh, that's right there's nothing to defend) of their little space.

I think it is FDs equivalent of a private petting zoo, it might cost a small amount, but it offers him solace, comfort and more than a few laughs... Clearly this place covers the cost of both (and perhaps has some left over)....

Whilst ALL Oz P posters continue to post you afford PA ongoing support. Perhaps that's your answer right there, get everyone to leave OZ POL.... Like that will happen.

I rarely read the Vortex. It's basically a scribble pad for all sorts of people who prefer to be anonymous. I've given up complaining because I don't care that much anymore. It's only a forum Monk - as long as you don't read it - it won't do you any harm.

You 'think' incorrectly mantra. My offer of years ago was for the whole thing including OzPol.

You have missed the point I am making which is that, despite FD being willing to pay, it it time for that truly repugnant place to find its own way, get its own site and pay for it. Surely as adults you would want not to be lifelong bludgers hanging onto Mummy? boxy's life raft is sitting there ready to go.

As for loss of history, well the current admin seems not to care less about that. I've lost count of the number of times skippeee has threatened to wipe PA clean of any trace of myself. Further, I'm very confident NOIQ and SN have the www IT smarts to save whatever is there at PA and transport it to your new place. Northing lost. You get on with what ever it is you all seem to relish, have independance and answerable to no-one.

Finally, did you notice how skipppeee just gloats and visibly salivates whenever he gets a chance to act with vengeance against someone like Agnes. I often wonder whether he deserves to be given the same treatment here. Well, no I don't......he does deserve that, but I for one am not prepared to stoop to his level.
