So it's like Wisconsin without the Wisconsin white trash.

In that case, may have to go there.

What does white trash mean Marla..? Do they smoke weed and munch pussy for instance?

Think Bogans with guns.

Then I think you'll find Bega does have white trash...

It's a farming district, so guns are pretty common.

I drove through Bega about 2 months ago. It looks to be an oldish town, with not much new development going ahead. I noticed a trend while driving down the Princes highway. The further south you go the more undeveloped and run down the towns become (Pembula looks just awful). It's not until you reach Victoria that the towns begin to look better.

Marla, if you are inquiring about white-trash, how many do you need?

I live in the Bega Valley on acreage - it is a nice place with mostly honest people, and with the lowest crime rates in NSW.  Where I live our immediate neighbours are retired Army and a school teacher whatever.... we have no social problems here, other than the occasional loud youngster's party.

Yeah - we munch pussy here....

Absolutely NOTHING sinister about it.

Well there went that vacation.

You wouldn't want to have a "vacation" (Aussies say HOLIDAY) there anyway, unless you are into "skin diving" (ask Freediver) or fishing.  Nice little country down. Very safe. The murdered teenage girls were hitch-hiking (thumbing a ride?) and got picked up, and raped by several "repeat offenders" creeps out for some "fun".

Who, if ever released, will likely be hunted down by locals here.... worse than animals.

Oh - a lady from Georgia US of A I once knew - a real looker and with a honeyed voice - once said to me that only Wharte trash throw rubbish in the street!

Once they get a bit too far out of range of the trendies from the Big City, towns still tend to keep their character and heritage a lot longer.

Look at Kiama or Gerringong - 30 years ago, they were quiet little towns too. Spent a LOT of time at Gerrigong in my teens/20s.

All changed now - just little beach-suburbs of the Borg-like Sydney, with most of the charm and character long-gone..

Indeed - it is very nice to live in an area where you KNOW that when you strike a deal - it is holding for life, rather than being signing up to a scam.

Australia ... which once was......... when a man or a woman was bound by his/her word......
