Only a total bogan would think being caught texting while driving will increase Shorten's poll numbers.

It's anyting but a non-issue. Hope the Police charge him. I always doubted that he spilt coffee as well. Someone should check his phone history at the time of his recent crash.

EVERYONE , and I mean EVERYONE who works in a mobile environment in this day and age has answered the phone or read a text message, at some point, while driving. Anyone who says they haven't is lying.

Too right, a couple of my customers wore those handsfree mobile phones clipped to their ear, don’t tell me they never talk on that phone while driving.

handfree is fine for talking, but if you're trying to do a deal and waiting for a reply someone to reply and your phone beeps to tell you that you've received an SMS, 99% of people will read the sms while driving.

yes, it's illegal, yes he shouldn't have done it, but the only reason you or the retrds on here care is because he's a labor MP. The same retards criticising him for doing it I'd bet do the same thing themselves

it has already been proved when talking on a phone you are not concentrating on the driving.....

I think its the same with those maps as well...people make sudden moves....they are all a distraction...you use a map when going to a place you are unfamiliar with...stands to reason there are more than  road signs you need to be looking out for... what ever happened to using ones brain and working it out before the trip.

whats wrong with turning the phone off??....

oh give us a break... excuses excuses your full of them'''you kids are very very vulnerable when it comes to road accidents.........

they would not have brought in a law if phones were not a cause of accidents....

maybe you dont take any notice but a lot of children are dead because of mobile phone use whilst driving.. I thought it would make an impression on you... my error.
