A confession by SprintCyclist. Mental disease is SprintCyclist's biggest adversity.

If science was any good Sprintcyclist would have been given a brain transplant.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

Science.......... or rather scientific method is either the first or second most important thing humanity has figured out.
Knowledge is power after all.

Science has had long enough to find a cure for the cold.
Hot lemon drink still works the best.

'Science' has given us superbugs.

What good did 'going to the moon' do us?
Horses have helped mankind much more.

Science gave you the internal combustion engine: it gave you skyscrapers and the 24 hour society that made your new money daddykins rich.

Horses gave us the horsepower to drag constantly improved invention around the paddock until the penny dropped.

Then we all came to the city and the internet was invented and we all bugger'n know everything now!

We're all bugger'n noahs now ...

This is about stupidest thing I have read in while.

Science isn't any good because it does not instantly answer every question?

How do you think we riding horses to going to the moon just over 160 years.

it was a poor attempt at satire.  I get what he was saying.  Some people absolutely trust what science has to say - no matter what.

It's our best source of information, but by it's nature it is incomplete. It is also subject politics and other human distortions. Peer review helps to mitigate it, but it's by no means completely effective.

The peer-review process in climate science has come under a cloud. It has been manipulated so that reviewers have been chosen that will by sympathetic to a pro-AGW agenda and others simply rejected.

Also, peer-review is NOT a review of the science but of the methodoloy.  A peer-reviewer may pass a paper which is wrong and he knows it. The uninformed have tried to give peer-review the status of infallibility.

Science is method: that's all it is  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

The industrial revolution is about constant improvement of process: that's all it is.

Technology is the application of science....THAT IS ALL IT IS  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

hEY, LET'S ALL VOTE FOR COPPER INTERNET AND PRETEND OUR NEW MONEY PAPER PROFITS MAKE US BETTER THAN SOME RANDOM POOR COUNTRY  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Yeah, because in the past those people would have died at a young age from things we can easily help now...  thanks to advances in science and medicine....

Absolute BS
We have a life expectancy greater than 50 thanks to science
The infant mortality rate is a fraction of what it used to be thanks to science.
You don't die from preventable diseases like small pox and polio thanks to science.
One bad harvest doesn't cause a mass famine thanks to science

In fact it is science that invented the machine you use to make your ridiculous posts.

Since your grasp of science is clearly so poor you have absolutely no authority to talk about climate change.

It is interesting that even though you and many of your conservative buddies have absolutely no idea about science you have started to try and discredit it for purely political and ideological reasons
