The anti-racism protesters – including a vocal minority called Antifa (anti-fascism) dressed in black with black face masks – have been abusing police, using megaphones.

Abusing police??? What did the police do?? These people are filth.

It's funny how a few people and a BBQ can get the radical left all fired up. It's because they are threatened.

Oh yes

The Leftist are outraged by a BBQ

Especially  Halal free BBQ

Except that wasn't what it was all about though, was it?

Doesnt negate my point, even if it was true. The violence at this rally was committed by the anti racism protesters, thats inarguable.

There have been two arrests, and which side of the fence they were on wasn't published in what I read.  Where did you read it?

It's not halal free, dude was drinking a bottle of water.  Maybe they should educate themselves before staging something that is almost by definition impossible?

Commemorating violence and glorifying racism and intolerance.

It was about unthinking cretins with false jingoism and Islamophobia.

The cretins have tiny minds which are easily manipulated.

Commemorating violence and glorifying racism and intolerance.

The 2005 Cronulla riots were a series of sectarian clashes and outbreaks of mob violence in Sydney, beginning on 11 December 2005 in the beachside suburb of Cronulla and spreading, over the next few nights, to additional suburbs.

The riots stemmed from pre-existing tensions between youths from Sydney's Lebanese and Anglo-Celtic populations. An assault on two surf-lifesavers on 4 December, committed by four Lebanese men, was regarded as the primary catalyst for the later escalation in violence, although a review by New South Wales Police found that the initial incident was no more significant than other fights between the two groups.[1]

Wink Wink you mean this don't you!!

Here it says they were anti-racism protesters. One was taken in for slinging off at the cops (verbally), the other it doesn't say.

Although in this link the anti-racism protesters are carrying a banner saying "The Only Good Fascist is Dead" which is pretty appalling.

Those anti racism thugs should have been arrested months ago but why should the peaceful protesters be arrested?

Because it was explicitly banned by the courts.

A rally and procession were banned by the courts.  The gathering was a BBQ.   BBQ's weren't on the ban list.

A 58-year-old Warilla man from the anti-racism group shouting obscenities at police was arrested for offensive behaviour.

Minutes later, a 25-year-old man from Seaforth, from the same group and wearing a bandanna over his face, was carted away for disturbing the peace.

The anti-racism protesters were then funnelled away to a nearby train station by riot squad officers and bundled onto waiting trains.

There were no arrests among the 100-odd right-wing activists, who left around 2.30pm.

Surprise surprise.  The same thugs/trouble makers who always cause trouble at these events.

Violence was brought into the equation 10 years ago. The whole point of the anti-Islamic protesters  was to commemorate violence.

well you keep saying that but the only violence on this occasion was caused by the anti racism demonstrators. As far as I am aware and all evidence suggests that the anti Islam crowd were having a peaceful bbq, regardless, being against a religion and its values is not racist. You and others are condemning violence committed 10 years ago (on both sides) but now refuse to condemn violence caused today by one side. i cant find a better example of hypocrisy.

Firstly, i have not defended any violence. I have condemned violence. I have condemned the banner the anti-racists held.

But you cannot deny that the "peaceful BBQ" was to commemorate violence and racism. It was hateful. It was met with hate.

Hate all round. All from violence.

No. Ususally there is enough trouble to go around.

It's hardly a peaceful meeting now is it?

It was funny to see the usual renta crowd Screaming WACIST WACIST when islam is not a race Grin Grin Grin.

As usual these clowns start spitting chips and get themselves arrested for not being effective for their muslim handlers.

I loved the non Halal BBQ on the beach with a PIG on a spit it looked Yummy.

Again the ANTIFIA (pretend anti wacist) Socialists FAIL....

Long live Cronulla, a shining example of how to create peace from Islamic thugs infringing on your area.

Congratulations for the 10th Anniversary..
