Bad laws are always changed this one is no different.
Australia is just about out on its own, the most redneck western country in the world now has numerous states where pot is not just decriminalised but LEGAL much of the rest of the USA is following that lead. Canada is about to legalise it throughout the whole country too, it's just a matter of time. Cool  The revenue raisers here are making the most of the draconian laws while they still can.

Amsterdam has a legal animal sex brothel. some feel that should be legal in this country also. In Saudi Arabia and other countries, honour killings are legal. we have supporters for that in our country also. Of course, if you feel the law is not right thebn work to change it but people like Emma who break the law are still criminals regardless and should be jailed. And that is my point, people cant be selective just because they dont agree with a particular law and there are many who feel marijuana is a destructive dangerous drug.

As it happens Queensland has just passed legislation... YEP.. to allow Tincture of Cannabis (oil) to be available to those eligible. Further trials on 'medical marijuana' will follow.

It isn't ME, or Marla, Ian.
Roll Eyes Huh
Maybe you feel good putting  down people (women in particular) like your mate Herbie, but sad for you, public opinion is NOT on your side.

I never 'put down' women. They always lie down without me having to ask them.  Kiss Tongue

In reverse logic,

If prohibition causes the problems, perhaps we should make the softer drugs illegal so the crims will focus on making money from them instead of stuff like Ice.

We should introduce prohibition for alcohol and cigs.

Anyone caught making or trading in hard drugs should be sent to Bali's Kerobokan Prison to await execution on a contract basis with the Indonesian government.

You can't help people being uneducated imbeciles.
The NSW government are about to make it legal for medicinal purposes.
There is no documented evidence of anyone ever dying from using weed. Pork chops are dangerous too if you eat too many of them. Roll Eyes

Ha! I take serious offense to that. You assume people from Texas are human. They are not. They don't even qualify as a sub-species.

Well Emma, that is likely true.  However, there are life experiences which indicate to me that 'weed' is damaging in the long term, given long term use.  Do you deny that?

Well of course I acknowledge that any long term use of say tobacco, as a comparison, can damage health.

Using a tincture, on the other hand, would remove the risks involved in smoking the plant
. Other than that, the level of harm actually caused by cannabis use is relatively minor.

For a start it is not addictive.  It may become a habit, but that is entirely down to the choices made by the person. I've known plenty of people over the years, who have stopped smoking, for one reason or the other, and its all about what you choose. I've also known people who have admitted they were addicts and tried to get off alcohol. They have a much harder time, because they are genuinely physically addicted.

Let me tell you,  the corporates that control these things, to a large extend,  are perfectly happy that alcohol is a legal drug. Because ( ? ) they have a ready made legally addicted market that will be always there and always struggling to say no.
Few manage it.

Don't get sanctimonious on me, Aussie, I know  considerably more about it than most posters on this forum.
