No Swagman but I am about to write to him and ask him not to rack his cue just yet.

Politics is a funny game as Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard will testify to Wink

Like Gillard before him he achieved his lofty post like a thief in the night, putting the knife straight between Tony Abbott's shoulders.

He achieved his post in the normal way: there was a party vote, and he won.

The electorate chooses the party they want to govern the country, and the party chooses their leader (who, if in the governing party, becomes Prime Minister).

Parties can change their leaders at any time.

Why do so many people in this forum struggle with these simple facts?

Wow, this has to be one of the most delusional threads I have ever read. Tony delivered? The whole reason he lost all his political capital was because he failed to deliver what he promised.

Indeed.

He is a total failure.  Pure and simple.

Basically because they vote as though they have a say. The vote for the local member because they are of that party AND knowing it will get the leader into the PM position, in some people's minds the local vote is a vote for the PM.

Effectively they attempting to use the election system for something it wasn't supposed to do.

Tony Abbott was not a total failure; he was a victim of a concentrated and vindictive campaign to pull him down by the Turnbull Camp.

It is hard to remember your original intention was to drain the swamp when you are up to your arse in alligators.

Since Turnbull took over, this Country has lurched to the left. Why bother considering voting in Labor next time? They already have a Labor Prime Minister by any other name, sitting there right now.

Thanks Aussie, I'll try very, very hard not to repeat myself.

Oh...by the by...here are a few samples from our resident Uberologist the inimitable Aussie:

Just checked my Uber app for the Sunshine Coast.  'No cars available.'

What you 'feel' is the vibration of the knocking on your front door.  Some men in white coats want to see you.

I am not in NSW.

Just how stupid do you really believe I am?

No.  There is no need for you to know

Another Uber bottom rung dweller.

If you can't bare to face facts which do not line up with your agenda, there is little point in having a discussion with you

cods, there are plenty of Uber nasty stories, just like this one:

I tells ya....it will all end in tears!  No doubt about it.

Try Black & White Cabs in Brisbane.....and would you like fries with that?

Aug 11th, 2015 at 2:07pm
Further...on that point that you have insurance.  Your premiums are likely to rise if Uber gets a real hold as there will then be a greater risk as more uninsured cars will be on the road and likely to damage your property.

Yet, Uber is facing many legal hurdles and driver revolts there.  Do not get sucked in by the spin.

What's that saying about GLASS HOUSES and people living IN THEM AUSSIE? Wink Wink Wink Wink
