ABC - do they never learn?
Dec 21st, 2015 at 8:16am

https://au.news.yahoo.com/a/30412284/abc-boss-must-end-lefty-love-in-abetz/

"Dumped federal cabinet minister Eric Abetz says the ABC's new managing director has to end the "lefty love-in" at the public broadcaster.

Pre-empting a board announcement on Monday, the Liberal senator says Mark Scott's replacement must restore editorial balance to earn the public's confidence.

"The new managing director will inherit an unbalanced and largely centralised public broadcaster which has become a protection racket for the left ideology," he said in a statement."

Imagine if the same statement were to be directed at the incoming head of - say - the independent Highest Court in Oz?

When will these micro-Fascists ever get the idea into their head that they are and will remain subject to rigorous questioning on their policies and their approach to those policies, and that this is a democracy, not some petty dictatorship?

If the ABC is anything to go by, we already do live in North Korea. Be nice for them to provide some balance and alternative points of view other than extreme Left.

The ABC  are the public servant option for failed journalists.

Private sector media,  murdoch , for instance are movers , shakers and hold the real power.

Those journos who arent good enough to be snapped up to play at the elite level end up in the ABC.

They are like the australian womens cricket team.
they are extremely resentful of all the alphas over in mens cricket.
they hate success, they are bitter towards those who have proved to be better journalists then they are.
They take it out with their biased and very thinly disguised hatred of the tall poppies.

Its good that the government wishes to reduce their funding and call them to account.
We  should never fund mediocrity.
When you fund mediocrity, you just get more of it.

Perhaps we should sell it to newscorp for a balanced opinion.

It would be nice for the tax-dodging News Limited to provide some balance and alternative points of view other than extreme Right.

That's strange. When I was at journalism school EVERYONE wanted to work for the ABC. It was considered a primo appointment, and quite unachievable. The selection process is intense.

Most went on to News Ltd and Fairfax. They weren't easy to get into either.

You know K,  its illegal to clone a horse in australia. someone cloned a quarterhorse stallion in the states and it was sent back when it arrived here because we appreciate "biodiversity"

where is the "biodiversity" in the leftard journalistic ranks.

the ABC are definitely running a cloning operation.

it doesnt matter if you accidently turn on news radio or radio national in the car or the TV remote gets stuck on 2 when you are trying to get to Ice Road Truckers.

they all sing from exactly the same hymn sheet.

name 1 permanent ABC journo who talks like Jones or Bolt.
and , be careful now, those 2 guys represent the views of a large chunk of suburbia.
So why is the "peoples" broadcaster disenfranchising so many many citizens

The ABC has turned into a Globalist Humanist institution which implies leftwing tendencies. I'm peeved, I wish it would go back to it's impartial reporting

your comment might be valid except that they've had at least half a dozen inquiries into it, with none finding any bias. As a result your comment gets thrown into the 'another dumb comment' pile

it's not .... it's only disenfranchising the extreme rightards who consider any opinion other than their own a 'leftist' view.
