$200 - What a rip-off.

People should find a solo mother to leave their kids with &
pay with cash under the table.
Maybe $40 a day.

You seem to think childcare is just babysitting and watching the kids play. No. The staff teach the kids quite a lot of things (for which they require qualifications) and also must hold first aid qualifications (as kids can and do get hurt) and undergo working with kids checks. It's not a matter of simply playing with the kids - there's a lot more to it.

When I was a kid a local solo mother used to look after more than 10 kids on the cheap -
now it's just a money making racket.

( I have fond memories of staying there myself as a little kid )

yes they were allowed to play in mud out the back.. they are not allowed too anymore....

if you look after children in your home you have to have a licence to do so...

and these mothers expect the best these days but dont want to pay for it..

why should the mum go and earn something like $30 an hour... and expect to pay someone else in the region of $4 an hour..to mind their baby/child.....

bobs nothing was cheap...in any day.....the difference then was there was no childcare places....posh ones with all the equipment all of which has to be paid for.. my daughter just after she left school worked in childcare.. she was also expected to weed the gardens... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes.. for something like $3 a day.. to be honest I cant remember but it was a pittance..even then...... the staff now are equal I believe to most other trades....I mean if someone who cuts your hair earns more than someone who cares for your child.. something is wrong.,..

I know women who pay $300 every time they go to the hairdresser.....and think nothing of it...they also pay hundreds for skin care and nails....look at the cost of a personal trainer.... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

think nothin gof it..

but whinge like crazy about paying for their children to be taken care of.. Angry Angry Angry Angry

I already gave you the answer -
get a solo mother to look after the kids for a fraction of the cost.

Solo mothers are desperate for  money & you'd help them out.

the only person who'd do it for $40/day are the people you dont want.  now if they had 5 kids they looked after for $70/day that would be different.

How judgmental Longy -

There are many responsible solo mothers who got
walked out on while holding a crying baby in their hands.

A christian like you should show some compassion.

You should be banned from your church.

Longy should not be banned because of his homosexuality.

Perhaps you two should meet.
