Look after your own bloody kids or don t have them. Stop expecting my tax dollars to do it for you. All childcare subsidies should be scrapped completely for everybody.

well not everyone.....but honest to god I did not know of one person who put their children not only into childcare more or less from the day they were born......

but also into after school care...... in my day..

in other words some of these PARENTS.. do not have anything to do with their children from about 8am until 6pm... 5 days a week.......

thats disgraceful.....

Yes, and exactly why we have bred a generation of selfish pigs who couldnt give a bugger about anyone except themselves. The dollar cost to the community of subsidising childcare shows up across the board, crime, health, environment. The cost to our society is enormous. The best predictor of a childs healthy development is a parent at home. Always has been and always will be.

my granddaughters 5 yr old is a classic case.. he is already uncontrollable....she has been asked to remove him from the childcare....and has had to pick him up early! so many times we have lost count....when he starts school next month he will go into a special class..

fingers crossed no permanent damage is done....she put him in childcare at 3 months old.... as a single mum it was entirely FREE....

I am a pretty patient person but I admit he pushes me......very very defiant...afraid of no one...on one visit to her he climbed up the shelves of her linen cupboard and threw everything out....she said he does it all the time...and then he could be so sweet........we are now praying...

dialed back som I agree. But stop making childcare some educational experience.  kids need to be kids. play, sleep, eat and nothing else. it is what prepares them for school - PLAY.  then we could halve the staff and halve the costs.  but no... the govt gets involvd and before long you will have a 1:1 ratio of staff with every one a PhD and it will 'only' cost $4000/week.
