Ditto.

Especially if anyone like innocentbystander, Sir Booby, or Sprint lived there.

Some people are so unbelievably superficial.

You're throwing more labels about. You haven't explained how we're supposed to be racists yet.

My bad. For a moment I forgot that I was on a 2 bit forum full of multi trolls.

By all means continue posting your clueless rubbish.

I apologise for assuming I was amongst decent people who really wanted to argue something worthwhile.

Racism in Australia today....is a complex/convoluted construct.

I don't wish to embark on a relativism vs absolutism discourse given certain online personas around esp in this topic.

Racism in Australia has both a historical and evolutionary dimension, a religious nexus and by God Greg...if you're not going to bother with exploring its dynamics further, I will complete the freaking thesis myself.

Grrrrr!

I said unfair discrimination, based on one's race, is the objective definition of racism.

Definition eh?

I'll bloody well show you a definition.

Definition of racism.

The belief that human races have distinctive characteristics which determine their respective cultures, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule or dominate others.

NOTE THE SECOND WORD.

BELIEF.

AND WHERE YOU HAVE BELIEF, YOU HAVE BELIEF SYSTEMS AND VALUE JUDGEMENTS.

WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I STATED TO YOU IN HERE EARLIER.

Oh sigh.

Head meet wall.

Greg, now you're just being selective in what you quote. That annoys me. Why? Context (amongst other things).

Anyway, I'll leave you to it.

Bit of advice before I leave....look up a thesis or 2 on this at both Honours and PhD level.

You might find something interesting. I know for a fact that it will prove more worthwhile than sitting here on an irrelevant 2 bit forum.

See you later Greg. Enjoy!

And thanks Innocent for keeping Moth Ball occupied and off my back. It gave me the chance to have an actual conversation with Greg.

Cheers!

Why is being racist such an issue? Most people are racist to some degree. Its a perfectly valid mind set. Racism and violence aginst people because they have a different racial background dont necassarily go together despite the efforts of people like Greggary to pretend they do.

I disagree with that very strongly. There is no racism in me and i reject it utterly.

It is harmful. It is illogical. It fosters hatred and intolerance. It should be thoroughly condemned.
Racism is very logical, and its correct, there are differences between racial groups,.

Yes, there are differences.

Nobody has said anything to the contrary, so try to stay focused.

However, unfair discrimination based on those differences is racism, and it's completely illogical and irrational.

Incorrect. It is possible to be racist and not practise unfair discrimination.

I am sure theres a bit of truth in that... but again... not everyone can be tarred with the one brush.....

some think because we have indoor sewage we are therefore superior... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

whether it gives us the right to rule....well that would be subjective I am sure..

in the mean time...a lot is just banter...and people who go running to the courts with petty words....mock what should in fact be a very serious business....

personally I resent being called a racist... just because I mention someones skin colour...or call them Middle Eastern...when I look in the newspaper I often see the word Australian describing someone....

is that racisim????.....
