Men charged with throwing rocks, eggs on the Logan Motorway, Tanah Merah AAP November 14, 2011 10:47AM FOUR men have been charged with throwing rocks and eggs at cars on a motorway south of Brisbane. The men aged 18, 18, 17 and 19 allegedly threw rocks and eggs at a number of vehicles on the Logan Motorway, Tanah Merah, last night, causing the drivers to swerve, police say.
Three vehicles sustained major damage.
One of the vehicles, a utility containing two adults and two young children, sustained a smashed windscreen.
Two other vehicles, loaded prime movers, sustained smashed windscreens and damaged panels.
No one was injured.
An 18-year-old Beenleigh man, a 17-year-old Tanah Merah man and an 18-year-old Bahrs Scrub man have all been charged with three counts of wilful damage and one count of endangering the safe use of vehicles by throwing objects.
They are due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on December 7.
