Star wars and lego better than share market

Classic toys may not sound like a solid investment, but those lucky enough to have purchased some Lego sets and Star Wars action figures in the 1980s may well find their collectables have been a better investment than shares.

Last month, Britain's the Telegraph reported that Lego sets purchased in the year 2000, kept in pristine condition, increased in value by 12 per cent each year.

Compare that to the FTSE 100, which gave investors an average annual return of only 4.1 per cent over the same time period.

There are a heap of things , comics, stamps, art, coins, cars.

That would probably also be better than shares.
