Absolutely not.

Beheadings and brutal rapes, sure, but lying?  Thats a bridge too far.

Maqqa's having a bad day.

First he was exposed for his undying support of cowards who bash women, and now he can't tell the difference between an asylum seeker and ISIS.

I look forward to tomorrow's installment.

Of course they will lie, but it's not like stopping refugees will stop them. They can use local resources, or people on business trips. It's been done far more often than asylum seekers.

Terrorism and suicide bombing is not a "button" you push to stop or reset

Refugee intake is an entry point of many entry points

Stopping refugee closes this door

People on business trips requires Passports and VISAs that can be checked. ISIS has a passport printing machine that can issue Syrian passports. So why accept any Syrians at all?

People on business have a travel history on their passport that can be verified

Bottom line is to make sure most of our doors are closed so we can focus resources on doors that are still open

If you have a system that tells the difference between ISIS and an asylum seeker - Merkel wants to hear from you

They accepted 1.3M Syrians - I reckon you can charge 50 thousand Euros per Syrian and they'd pay it doubt if it works

Each door you close has associated costs. Humanitarian,  financial and political. The government isn't closing them because it's not worth those cost vs the risk.

Oh, FD’s ethical sensibilities are a little clouded when it comes to.the Muselman.

If you were FD, would you support porkies to achieve your goal?

Priorities

(1) The HUMANITARIAN cost vs AUSTRALIAN costs - I choose to preserve Australia every time
(2) The financial cost of NOT allowing them in is less
(3) Political cost is manageable

Cost is much lower than Risk
