Why post up a picture of Syria when an overwhelming majority of country shoppers in Australian detention aren't from there?? Huh

Disgusting.

They wouldn't be in detention if Labor hadn't rolled out the welcome mat.

When will those on Naru & Manus be set free?

Probably when they get too old for the Peado guards.

New tourism slogan Angry

Shows how uninformed you are. They are free - free to leave and go back home any time they wish to do so. Also, on Nauru they're allowed to come and go from the detention centre at will.

so 5% of children are still in detention after all this time? I wonder if they would take so long if it were their kids.

That 5% you refer to are children whose parents are raising red flags with their background checks. Should we release these kids away from their family and separate families now? This government didn't make these people come here with their kids. The former Labor government under Rudd did.

Nothing excellent about this:

"People in onshore immigration detention centres had been locked up for 445 days on average — double the 200-day wait under Labor."

"Detention centre child sex abuse claims number in dozens"

http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/detention-centre-child-sex...

Just six people were in detention when Rudd came to office and the boats had stopped.

Numbers don't lie.

"People in onshore immigration detention centres had been locked up for 445 days on average — double the 200-day wait under Labor."

That's simply because Labor was buckling under the pressure of their own incompetence. Boats were coming at a rate of two and sometimes three boats a day. Detention centres were overcrowded and Gillard botched a deal with East Timor to house them there. They were desperate, and so they lowered the bar so far it's a wonder Bin Laden didn't have a crack at it too. They lowered the bar so as to enable faster processing of detainees to create more room in detention centres for the influx of people arriving by boat each week by the thousands. This isn't my opinion - this is FACT. It is cold, hard reality.

it wasn't labor that sent our bombers to blow up their homes  Cheesy Cheesy

When did we start bombing Sri Lanka and Pakistan? Australia wasn't even in Syria until after Abbott became PM, long after the boats stopped coming!!!

The mess was created by the Libs.

You have a very short memory.

You clearly have NO memory. Six people in detention when Rudd became PM. No boats were coming anymore. Rudd abolished the Pacific Solution and then we had 1,000-2,500 people arriving each week for a grand total of more than 55,000 people on over 770 boats, while at least 1,200 people died at sea. This mess was created by the Libs? No, petal. Not even close. This mess is entirely Rudd's doing. Gillard played a part and in the end just made it worse. This is solely a Labor mess, and a colossal one.

How many Syrian refugees came here by boat because of us bombing their country? NONE. Not a single person. Australian forces didn't even enter Syria until well into Abbott's term as PM - long after Morrison stopped the boats. You've got no idea what you're talking about, so STFU. Smiley
