Conservative commentator Andrew Bolt's television show The Bolt Report has reportedly been axed by Channel Ten after more than four years on the network.

According to a report by The Australian, the Sunday morning political discussion program has not been renewed by the network in 2016, with speculation Bolt will join the Sky News line-up.

In a blog post on Monday morning, the News Corp columnist said he was considering his options and denied reports Channel Ten didn't want the show anymore.

"This is not true," he wrote. "The issue is that my show is produced by News Corp, and several options are being considered which I can't discuss and which I am thinking about. If anything, they involve doing more TV, not less."

Bolt echoed these sentiments in a statement to Fairfax Media.

"I can assure my devoted followers at the Age that, alas, I will still be around in various forms," he said.

A spokesperson for Channel Ten told Fairfax Media no decision had been made either way on the 2016 season of The Bolt Report.

After appearing on ABC's Insiders for a decade, Bolt launched his own political show in May 2011 and announced his intention to beat Insiders in the ratings.

The Bolt Report did manage to pip Insiders on its second episode, but as of November last year was pulling less than half of the ABC program's audience.

According to OzTam figures, just 113,000 tuned in to see Bolt's program as opposed to 287,000 who watched Insiders.

Bolt is currently travelling around the country filming an ABC documentary on Indigenous constitutional recognition. Screen Australia described the program as a "provocative one-off documentary".

Said Bolt on Monday: "Just what I will end up doing and in what form is something I am thinking about at long leisure as I saunter around the country filming a documentary for the ABC, something which has turned out to be such fun that I wouldn't mind more of the same."

The journalist is renowned for his divisive views. In December, fellow Ten host The Project's Waleed Aly condemned Bolt on-air, calling his reporting on climate change irresponsible and inaccurate.

they are out being successful in the world or are relaxing by going to the gym to improve their health or doing macho sports like fishing or hotting up their cars.

I am a labor voter and the only time I watch TV is Prime7 News, Channel 7 News and the ABC news.

I do watch any football or cricket that is on free to air TV and no I haven't got pay TV.

So you are saying that I am not being a failure in life because I don't watch much TV.

He was on air for four years, so Bolt did pretty well.

Yes of course, but that is just your ego talking after all...

Sort of that is the point.

a person who is aiming at ego reduction would be out bushwalking, doing contemplative fishing or immersed in the passionate joy of running their business.

someone very 'attached' to their "mind" and living in "thought" would be soaking up "affirmations" from the ABC and strengthening their ego.

Living in "thought' = bigger ego.
Living in "action" = smaller ego.

Bolts viewers have come to the correct realisation that TV will not lead to a dope-asss supercharged life.
It would be a blessing if the viewers of the ABC propaganda would do likewise
