yes Herbert, correct. The profits involved in the meth trade for instance are so enormous that a few years in jail is meaningless for these people. We either need to get serious or try another tack, what we are doing now isnt working. I can remember back in the 80s when Malaysia got serious about stopping the drug (dadah) trade. There were government sanctioned vigilantes wandering the streets looking for drug dealers, Indonesia had their "mysterious assassins" targeting known criminals. Extra judicial executions of criminals here as happened in Indonesia would be appropriate. but unlikely although I would stick my hand up for it, Ive got a very large mental list of those who deserve it.
Well said, Ian.
I'd like to see a two year moratorium on all people who have anything to do with the drug trade: Importation, manufacture, distribution, and sales.
After that: summary executions. No lawyers pleading for leniency because the guy had bad potty-training, or because he was depressed, or bipolar, or etc.
If you trade in drugs after two years - off you go to the holding cell before a dawn execution. And no nonsense like they have in the US where the guys on Death Row have to wait
decades before they're eventually
passed over to the other side.
