In almost every case in which a girl succumbs to hard drug addiction it's a 'boyfriend' who has introduced them to the drug.

Heads should roll.

The guys often end up acting as pimps to the girls, or simply disappear and continue a normal life while the ex-girlfriend remains a prostitute and an addict until around the age of 32 or so.

Firing squads for boyfriends would be my choice.

It's good to see vigilante groups beginning to emerge from unofficial sources due to the decades of wrist-slapping leniency from the courts, the laws, and the politicians.

It had to happen eventually.

We have a massive 'ice' problem in Australia, and this is precisely because the punishments do not fit the crime.

The fear of getting caught is not nearly enough to dissuade the drug dealers that the easy and massive profits are not worth the prospect of getting caught.

And therefore the Youth of Australia are being decimated and turned into violent zombies by these purveyors of poison and death.

I don't feel sorry for people who swallow an unknown drug & then die -

Death is rare, mostly these addicts  cause chaos in our society for a good decade or 2 before they die. In between we spend massive amounts of money catering for their mental health and other issues caused by this hard drug use. mental health facilities and prisons would be empty without meth addicts.

I am just making a point that you can't help fools.

What about the money wasted - over $1.2 billion on law enforcement?

according to 4 Corners on Monday night -

weve lost the war. and 1.2b is a conservative estimate. Whole prisons would be empty if we had a sensible approach to drugs.

I don't think that kind of treatment of a fellow human being is warranted.  Sorry...

If IS did this you'd all bay for their heads.. in Sydney in recent memory a group did this to a Muslim guy and copped hefty sentences.... and deservedly so.

I think many on this strand need to hang their heads in shame.

Maybe so.... but it is still a crime committed by people who will not identify themselves, but hide behind hoods.... and have not much to support their view that he is a drug dealer..... after a heap of whipping he still only said whatever they wanted, in an attempt to stop the pain, but no names it seems.

Living proof that this kind of interrogation does not yield much beyond what the person will say to stop the pain..... people will say anything after a certain point.. as clearly evidenced by the Spanish Inquisition, the Communist Russian security agencies, and any number of other groups who rely on pain and brutality to get people to say what they want.

We have echoes of the same here... an innocent man may be beaten, imprisoned on remand for months, and thus slowly whittled down in his resistance.... on attending a court, he may most likely receive threats from escorting police officers to further try to break him down.... such things as a cop handling his pistol and saying "You can't out-run a bullet!" outside the court, even when the accused is handcuffed and showing no intention of running, but instead of fighting the case in court.. or 'You can't beat us!" etc.. is the same thing, and it happens here all the time.

How many in that situation even begin to think they must be guilty even when they know they are not?  How many, knowing they will get a lesser sentence for 'remorse' will then plead guilty to things they never did?

Ask me again why I advocate a Royal Commission into Judiciary with their prejudice and outright violation of Law as regards their duty to uphold the rights of the accused....

And then ask me why I would oppose such vigilante sh!t..... you want a return to the Wild West?  You're asking for it.

A tad sexist there Herbie? We live in an age of equal opportunity and the mindset that women are able to make their own choices.

How could anyone swallow a pill made by some unknown freak cooking up whatever they have in their garage or kitchen?
I heard they put prescription pills of any type & even poisons like arsenic into their homemade pills.
People think they are high when their bodies are just reacting to poisons.
Maybe advertising on TV would help to stop the customers?

4 Corners on Monday night was an eye opener into this insidious trade.

You are using the word 'fellow' incorrectly here.

Referring to him as a 'fellow human being' implies he's just an ordinary, everyday sort of person who the Average Joe can identify with. If we were blacks or Muslims we would be calling him a 'bruvva'.

But Hard Drug profiteers are not 'fellows' to anyone other than their own morally bankrupt criminal class.

I don't condone the sort of violence we see in the video from the Ukraine, but I do advocate for the 'Singapore rattan' for a whole range of offences against society.

I also have no doubt that capital punishment will return one day to Australia. The Sunday papers' Letters to the Editor sections were stiff with writers lamenting the fact that the death penalty had not been applied to the killers of Janine Balding, Anita Cobby, and Virginia Morse.

Hopefully the day will come when our girly-men politicians will finally divest themselves of their role as puppets to the UN - and will find the balls to take back full sovereignty of this nation that others before them had signed away for a pat on the head by the 'international community'.

No, it does no such thing.

It implies that he is a human being, the same as the rest of us are all human beings.

There's no way I could ever identify with the likes of you, however, I can't get around the fact that you are a fellow human being.

Certainly not a human being in the same class as me, but a human being nonetheless.

Hell no.

Only for those drugs which are addictive, soul-destroying, and lose families their sister, brother, sons and daughters.

Those addicted to these Hard Drugs I would have treated as hospital patients.

So you would include alcohol and gambling then.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

It's about percentages.

Addictive substances or amenities that are detrimental to only a small percentage of the users are no problem for licencing and taxing, but those substances which snare a great number into a living nightmare should remain banned.
