That would still be "Is the use of socks outlawed here," but ~ same point.

Socks are like brig rats.  The best fighters, the most voracious,  the most independently minded. Not socking up means EVERY one of your posts is tainted by a fear or the man, fear of consequences,  fear of disapproval. If everyone socked up, Mittys like Aussie wouldn't be able to pervert 'freedom of speech' for their own twisted little ends. Unfortunately there are just too many good little conformists on OP.

It would seem to me, there are a few basic reasons for Socks & mainly those reasons involve avoiding rules, which is most likely the prime reasons that most forums have a rule against the use of Socks!

Such a rule, is as follows, from another forum  -
"Also there will be no sock puppets (A person using more than one account to post). You will get ONE warning, if caught using a sock puppet."

Cheers!

There is a Rule here.  See the very clear Rule at Post # 4.

Cheers.

Further, the other Rule, perceptions_now (seeing as though you may be unaware of it,) is that a sock may not be used to circumvent a ban, and if one is so used, the period of ban is lengthened.

Cheers.
