The NSW Parliament introduced the offence in 1994 with a maximum sentence of seven years, and in 2014 the maximum penalty was increased to 21 years.

However, it doesn't say "they'll be given home detention".

It says "All three offenders will be assessed for their suitability for home detention."

Let's just stick to the facts.

The first words in your OP are "So they lied", and then you go and lie yourself.

This is a topic worthy of discussion, and one that needs to be made public.

Don't cheapen it by posting in the style of Lord Herbert, Armpit, et al.

So, to summarise:

- thread tile is inaccurate;
- text in the OP is inaccurate;
- you're more concerned with winning a bet, than rectifying the mistakes;
- when called out on it, you tell another lie.

I don't see that home detention would be effective, in the case of the midwife.

Children could be delivered to the house of Kubra Magennis, where she could continue to carry out the barbaric procedure.
