Kyivan Rus was the first East Slavic state. The name was coined by Russian historians in the 19th century to describe the period when Kiev was at the center. Vladimir the Great spread Christianity to all inhabitants of Kiev and beyond. Kievan Rus reached its greatest extent under Yaroslav the Wise and his sons issued its first written legal code, the Russkaya Pravda. Moscow is a Ukrainian village but has no MacDonalds and few cookies, cars or Americans.

You are telling a story here from a thousand years ago. During this time, there have been significant changes.

But you correctly write that the name Kievan Rus was coined by historians relatively recently.

But all these times there was another powerful city - Novgorod. It was a trading republic and its rulers did not rule as confidently as in Kiev.

However, now Ukrainians are taking away churches from this Orthodox Church and transferring them to the newly created (the tomos of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople in 2019) schismatic structure.

the Chinese got through the whole cold war with only 10 nuke missiles - ICBMs.

there was never any need to make 10s of 1000s of them -
same goes for the crazy Yanks.
At one stage the Yanks and the Russians had 60,000 nuke weapons between them.
It's down to 12,000 now but is still far too many.

'The Russian church was headed by the metropolitans of Kiev (who after 1328 resided in Moscow) and formed a metropolitanate of the Byzantine patriarchate'.

After Hiroshima and Nagasaki it was obvious that major powers needed a dozen or so
nuke weapons to act as a deterrent but 60,000?
That was the number at the height of the cold war. WTF?
