Humans are not unfamiliar with wars and divisions.  A few thousand years ago, it might be between different local villagers.   And today, it may be between countries, so called religions, or races.    But, when you dissect all these conflicts down to the basics, its really about greed and power - pure and simple.    And in most cases, its the poor simple folks who got trapped in the middle that suffers.

And so for the past few thousands years, we repeat the same cycle again and again.  The only things changed are the names of the countries, gods and the people who suffers.

I think there is a message in this.  In order for us as humans - or Earthlins for that matter, to rise up and to reach for the stars.  We need to resist our fears, resist our urges on greed and power.   And instead of repeating the cycles of violence and conflict, we confront them with unity, love and valor.

If our forefathers were brave enough to charge through freezing trenches of western front, against hails of bullets.   Then, we should be brave enough to be kind and welcoming to the Muslim neighbor next door, instead giving into fear and loathing.   That, my friends will be the ultimate 'weapon' against ruthless terrorism.

Foreign Correspondent tonight

Why is there a culture of silence around this? As my dear old Gran used to say, better out than in.

The newspaper editor: Tanit Koch
Tanit Koch is the editor of Bild Newspaper, Europe's biggest selling daily.
You may call it a culture of silence around crimes like this committed by people with immigrant backgrounds.

It's because of Germany's history and the atrocities Germany has caused to other people.

It is an extremely touchy subject to talk about crime rates amongst foreigners or amongst people with a migration background.

Cologne was a wake-up call.

Have we decided on the wording for our changes to the constitution yet?

Which part are we changing?

Only men named Bruce and women named Sheila will be permitted entry. A cabinet meeting of Bruces has decided.

We first fought the heathens in the name of religion, then Communism, and now in the name of drugs and terrorism. Our excuses for global domination always change.

And you dear Gregg are 'Alice in Wonderland'..I get a feeling you wouldn't mind that title....signed your friendly neighbourhood 'Apologist'

Greggy sympathises with minority groups because he is also part of a minority group -homosexuals -

he gets picked on for being a queer so he knows how it feels to be a Muslim or a refugee.
