Humans are not unfamiliar with wars and divisions. A few thousand years ago, it might be between different local villagers. And today, it may be between countries, so called religions, or races. But, when you dissect all these conflicts down to the basics, its really about greed and power - pure and simple. And in most cases, its the poor simple folks who got trapped in the middle that suffers.
And so for the past few thousands years, we repeat the same cycle again and again. The only things changed are the names of the countries, gods and the people who suffers.
I think there is a message in this. In order for us as humans - or Earthlins for that matter, to rise up and to reach for the stars. We need to resist our fears, resist our urges on greed and power. And instead of repeating the cycles of violence and conflict, we confront them with unity, love and valor.
If our forefathers were brave enough to charge through freezing trenches of western front, against hails of bullets. Then, we should be brave enough to be kind and welcoming to the Muslim neighbor next door, instead giving into fear and loathing. That, my friends will be the ultimate 'weapon' against ruthless terrorism.
