We defended them in WW1 & WW2 -
so many of our people died helping France & then their grandchildren were not allowed to live there -
they preferred people who couldn't assimilate.

I think the French as well as the POMs didn't want educated
people from Australia & NZ going to live in their countries because
we were a threat to their own people getting jobs.
The Muzzies were brought in to do menial jobs such as toilet cleaning
that no one else wanted to do.

I think the real subject title should be
"Time for a referendum on the intake of mass Muslim immigration"

The model we have will not work. We're loading too heavily on low skilled immigrants.

We had a white Australia policy, we need a smart Australia policy so we can supercharge our science and technology sectors. The cheap labour could be obtained by 5 year visas from developing countries.

Australia is more multicultural than the US.

A higher percentage of ethnic people claim to feel part of the community in Australia than they do in the US.

The difference is that many immigrants display the American flag outside their homes. They are proud to be American which is something you just don't see here because they are too busy rebuilding their own countries here Sad

Not being flag waving patriots has worked for some time in Australia. We knew we are a great country and didn't have to ra ra about it. That's not working anymore.
