Howard understood the concept better than any, why he was so successful.
People vote for themselves first.

I haven't forgotten where I came from hence why I don't mind my tax dollars going to helping someone that needs it , I have been there myself and was thankful for every cent.

There are charities to give money to who help those in desperate need.

As for the rest we've all had rough times in our lives.
We don't all expect something for nothing.

Homelessness in australia , if we exclude the mentally ill, would have to indicate that you have

"messed up"

everyone who is optomistic , hard working, seeks to add value in the workplace and in relationships, operates with a sense of contribution....would have countless relatives and friends willing to take them in.

My daughter worked OS for 2 years and mainly toured and partied, came back stone broke.

She had literally dozens of people fighting for the right to take her in.

If you are a little leecher, a little taker, a little parasite, a little user....then people probably wont take you in once you have burnt all your bridges.

you would need to clean that up.
work hard on your personal philosophy

you attract in life what you have become.

if you have become a negative person, you will attract negativity into your life. you will have negative outcomes.

this is not only the law of state transference
it is the law of karma
you attract these things because of the person you have become

Sounds like you've never worked or have worked only in a congenial environment.  What makes you imagine that bosses as a rule have the same skills and abilities to even see such things?  In many cases they are incapable of seeing what is in front of them.... how then does being optimistic, hard working etc do the worker any good?

Same applies to friends and relatives .. how many such will take someone in over the long term?

An absolute pipe dream.

Confused as usual... something for nothing is apparently not going to a charity for welfare, but expecting your social security rights from government is.... bizarre reasoning all round.

I recall Joe Hockey had to sweep the floor at the parent's shop etc.... child labour and exploitation at its worst.   Grin  Grin  Grin

My experience in life is that those who make the greatest claims to having had a hard life are those who have no real idea what a hard life is.  Feeling hard done by over being income taxed according to the then rules, while in the toppest brackets of income, hardly fits the criteria.

You've never been able to explain John why I should vote for a party that leaves me less well off and hands my money to people who pay in so little.

Actually, Libs do far more porkbarrelling than labs ever did.

Andrei often confuses Britain with Australia in his renderings of government moves.  Perhaps that is the case here.  As an accountant, he also fails to see that the economic advantage of well-paid workers and a prosperous economy for all rather than a few works best for all.

Perhaps we will one day see a repetition of actions of police etc, as occurred during the Russian Revolution and the NAZI time in Germany.... with those bodies standing by and allowing 'natural justice' to prevail or even participating in it.  There is a groundswell of similar here and now with moves by public servants to stonewall government and 'assist' people more as a means of spiting the government that is trying to screw them......  Wee Johnnie - Hero Of The Right - sought to circumvent such 'revolt' by imposing a select and contracted upper public service, who were thus answerable directly to government.

Cunning little rat, neh?
