Don't see the word 'aboriginal' there at all.  What does it matter anyway.
He's an aboriginal ninkumpoop.

How is that relevant?

Why can't a persons race be mentioned?

Nobody said that it can't be mentioned.

However, the story in the OP does not contain the word 'Aboriginal', yet you used it in the title of the thread.

Why is that?
Because he's an aborigine. Undecided Undecided

Why does that need to be mentioned?

He has two legs, too.

Why didn't you say "Bipedal Man Murders Remote Community Nurse"?

That's mentioned when the offenders have not been caught, so that the public knows who to keep an eye out for.

In this case, the offender is behind bars.

Moreover, the article in the OP does mention the word 'Aboriginal'.

So, why did you include it in the thread title?

Not always. So why was race brought up after the Cronulla riots then? Why was T J Hickey's race brought up when he impaled himself running from the police?

Is anyone not concerned that regional nurses are subjected to such danger and it's a politically sensitive matter to raise due to indigenous issues?

My knickers aren't in a twist.

A question you seem incapable of answering.

He's a bipedal killer.

Why didn't you call him a bipedal killer in the thread title?

Why did you choose his Aboriginality over the number of feet he has?
