Bob Ellis has died

Legendary Australian writer, journalist, playwright and auteur Bob Ellis died today, 3 April 2016.

Bob Ellis has died.

He died, as was his wish, at home. His family were by his bedside.

I (Jack) will post a notice here when we know about the funeral.

The comradery of his regular readers has been a source of tremendous joy to him these past few years. Thank you all.

I was brought up to believe that if you didn't have something nice to say about ones passing you keep your mouth shut, you obviously had a less than fortunate upbringing. We can only imagine the obituaries the day you free us all of your presence and become maggot food.

If you people weren't so utterly ignorant you wouldnt have to be spoon-fed all this information. He was refused preselection and ranted evr since. That pitiful website - IA - is so hopelessly one-side it has become a joke. Ellis predicted a labor win last election was a haul of 27 seats in QLD. He claimed that newspoll was criminally corrupt because the results didnt suit him.

A smart man. He'll be missed.
