Just as jesus was the perfect man to christians, waleed aly is the perfect man to those who follow the leftard religion.

Revere? not at all  ... I don't normally watch him although I have seen him while channel surfing.

Why don't you try dispute his argument instead of worrying about his religion or lefties in general? Is it because you can't?

Evil lies within human mind, and not on the scriptures.   To believe otherwise, is the fallacy of religions.   The base cause of near most if not all of the suffering and evil are due to greed, and cruelty of human mind.   Unfortunately, it is also part of the basic survival mechanism that made our race successful in the past.  However, the future is different.  Its different because science have advanced, and our methods of killing had become more cruel and destructive .

If we keep on mire in the past, dwell ourselves on scriptures, then you will never find the solution or the pathway to peace.

Instead, you will find even more endless cycles of hatred and destruction.

Surely, if a benevolent entity really exist, then it would not want the vicious cycle to continue.

I don't blame God,     ....for MY choices, here.

tickleandrose,

This place isn't real.

This place is a 'construct'.        .....imo.

This place is only a 'shakedown' and proving ground, to see to expose how we will repeatedly choose.

You have a conscience.

And so do i.

And so does every other human being.

Deuteronomy 8:2
And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Revelation 22:11
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16  I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

We all choose our own path here.

And that is our purpose here.

I dont disagree with a lot of what he says.  Still, he is brown, emotionally driven and physically inept - the perfect storm of leftism, which explains his success at least as much as his intelligence does.

Do you disagree?

I agree that you’re free to disagree with Aly and say why if you’re critiquing him. I don’t agree that he’s an android. You’ve already contradicted this by saying he’s emotionally driven (for a lecturer in political studies at Monash Uni).

But how is he pysically inept?

And would you say that Piers Ackerman, Alan.Jones, Ray Hadley and Andrew Bolt are emotionally driven too?

I'm not qualified to comment, as I have never listened to or read any of their stuff.  I expect they probably would be, otherwise they wouldn't be so polarising.  I know people like to say they're all about "logic and reason" but that's rarely true.

re Yadda

I do not think we should blame god for the suffering of the world.  For it is the collective evils inside individuals that is the root cause of suffering.

Whether or not this world is 'real', or a proving ground, it does not matter.   What it matter is - what we do in it.

I believe, religion are neither good or evil by itself.   The scriptures can be there, but if there is no one to read it, then it would not have be able to do any evil or good.  Rather, its the mortal men and women that bring with them evil and suffering of this world.

Just say, Yadda, the God is almighty, and by some work of miracle, ALL of the Islam scriptures had disappeared from not only the material present, but also the illusional past and future.  Do you think all the wars and suffering will stop?   The answer is NO.  There will be other people to hate, there will be other scripture to criticize just as you do now.  And all this, because, we are all different to each other.   And the cycle of suffering will continue.

That’s strange. Bolt’s columns are posted here regularly. You’ve even commented on them.

But fair enough. Do you think Pickering is emotionally driven?
