So does that mean a non muslim woman can reject being touched by a male muslim doctor??

Of course.
So where does it end?

What are you worried about?

Oh, I'd say it ends with people pretending they have Pakistani neighbours.

Or maybe it's just the beginning.

Why would I lie about having Pakistani neighbours love nuts? It's nothing to gloat about. His property looks like a 3rd world craphole.

The only reason I can think of is you want to prove your "Western Sydney" credentials. You know, you went to school with a boong, there's a mosque in the next suburb, and your neighbour's a dirty Tree-lopping Paki.

Am I right?

Nope. I'd rather live with aussies. Except for my Vietnamese neighbours. They are great people. It's just a fact that I'm live in a very multicultural suburb with 2 mosques within a couple of kms of my house. I didn't put them there jism bucket.

Very multicultural?

How many different cultures, Homo?

I bet it's not as multicultural as my suburb.

What is it that worries you?

You haven't told us yet.

Where do you think it's going to end?

I like my Vietnamese neighbours too, Homo. They're great at gardening. One Vietnamese man cycles around selling tomatoes and herbs from the garden, door to door.

You see? They do add to our respective communities. I'm glad we agree.

You even get deliveries of free goat meat at Eid, remember?

Boges do you think its reasonable for the hospital to now "give priority to requests for female-only care".

Turns out gordy agreed with this all along.

Request is fine. Demand is not. Do you agree?
Yes or no answer will be fine.

Of course gordy. Isn't it funny how your entire hissy fit over this story is over some 'demand' that existed only in your imagination.

So Gandalf, hypothetically,

If a woman who's so devoted she wears a burqa/niqab politely asks for a female doctor and is politely denied due to operational reasons, would she leave it like that and say, no worries and accept a male doctor?

What do you think would happen next?

LOL you have no shame gordy!

Who said anything about what she was wearing? Where the hell did you get this idea about an imaginary burqa/niqab??

This entire thread is just you making crap up.

One of Victoria's largest hospitals will change its policy on female-only care after a Muslim patient wearing a full-length niqab complained of discrimination during an antenatal visit at one of its clinics.

For Ziarata Zia, the niqab she wears – which reveals only her eyes, hands and feet – is central to her Muslim faith.

Fair enough then. Although you were referencing an article that was never quoted until now.

More importantly though, your claim that she "demanded" a female  doctor is confected. The sad truth about this thread is she did nothing more than ask for what you now concede is something that is "perfectly reasonable"

This bit:
Two years ago, a significant conflict arose during Ms Zia's antenatal consultation at a Monash clinic

In my experience, hospital staff, particular in emergency centers can be very 'matter of fact' and seem uncaring due to the huge amount of stressed people they see.

Staff in birthing centers, not so much and they're not in the business of causing
significant conflict

How do you think a particularly devout Afghan man would react to a male doctor seeing his niqab clad wife's gentiles?
Do you think he was the sourch of the
significant conflict
