Is Boko Haram Islamic?
Apr 9th, 2016 at 9:59am

So we all know that the CIA created Al Qaeda, George Bush personally created ISIS in the White House basement, so I'm curious, who created Boko Haram?

They were founded before Gulf War 2 so I think we have to discount that as a cause.

Any ideas?

“It was a direct path to heaven,” Boko Haram soldiers reportedly told the women during classes on how to carry out suicide bombings and beheadings

Unfortunately, some women also carry out terrorist attacks because they embrace Boko Haram’s poisonous ideology — establishing an Islamic state under its
strict interpretation of religious law
, converting people who disagree with it by force, and attacking civilians indiscriminately.

I think the pertinent point is what ideas they have inside their head. Are you defending their freedom to practice their beliefs?

Boko Haram are a group of devout moslems, who are defending their Allah given right,        .....to kill persons who don't believe as they believe!

Are Boko Haram ISLAMIC?

QUESTION;
Are Boko Haram following the doctrines, and tenets, and laws,        ....which are set down by ISLAM [and which are given authority within ISLAMIC religious texts] ?

By every reasonable objective measure,      ....YES, Boko Haram are ISLAMIC !

THE RELIGION OF PEACE

.

ISLAMIC LAW....
"Ibn 'Umar related that the Messenger of Allah, upon whom be peace, said, "I have been ordered to kill the people until they testify that there is no god except Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer and pay the zakah. If they do that, their blood and wealth are protected from me save by the rights of Islam. Their reckoning will be with Allah." (Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.) "
fiqhussunnah/fus1_06

ISLAMIC LAW....
"Ibn 'Abbas reported that the Prophet said: "The bare essence of Islam and the basics of the religion are three [acts], upon which Islam has been established. Whoever leaves one of them becomes an unbeliever and his blood may legally be spilled. [The acts are:] Testifying that there is no God except Allah, the obligatory prayers, and the fast of Ramadan."...."
fiqhussunnah/#3.110

n.b.
"Whoever......becomes an unbeliever.....his blood may legally be spilled."

THE HADITH....

"...the Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him."
- DEAD.
hadithsunnah/bukhari/ #004.052.260

THE KORAN....

"....Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject Faith."
Koran 2.98

"....those who reject Allah have no protector."
Koran 47.008
v. 8-11

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. "
Koran 9.29

"Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain:...."
Koran 9.111

Love how you find Boko Haram a topic for light-hearted banter.

I wonder if working in Western Sydney high schools has desensitized you to Muslim violence?

One teacher, citing anonymity for fear of retribution, said some staff – male and female – walked to their cars in groups, fearing students would carry out their threats.

“They make threats, they say they’ll kill us, they’ll bash us. They say things like, ‘I’ll meet you down a dark alley and rape you’; ‘Wait ’til I see you after school, Miss’. And it’s males and females that they say that to: it’s not just the female staff,” she said.

Three years earlier, a group of five Granville Boys High School students rampaged through Merrylands High School attacking students and staff with baseball bats and machetes, leaving 18 students and one teacher in hospital.

My response to post #5;

Ezekiel 33:2
Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3  If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4  Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

Granville's a tough school. I'd never send my kids there.

It's no tougher than Bidwill College though. I taught at Parramatta High - that's pretty tough too. Threats are commonplace there. Staff regularly had their car tyres let down.

As a teacher, the solution is to get on side. You can't teach if they think you're the enemy. Those Arab kids are hard to work with, but they can be taught.
