So more people are finding part-time work while full-time work continues to shrink?

OK....

In a nut shell, yeas....with part time work counting as that if you do just one hour a week.

Good, hey?

Guys... I'll repeat:
"Well, any 'good news' is better than none - especially for a lib who is waiting for any straws to grasp."

For all the nitpicking about it, remember the same scrutiny should apply when lab gets back into government.  So do expect snide remarks back from lib supporters next time.

Nothing snide about pointing out facts, is there?

Who ever said I wouldn't be subjecting Bill and The Crew to the hot irons on the feet if and when they take control of government/sit in the electric chair?  The moment they stuff up I'll be on their ass like a hungry cheetah on a fat antelope...

I oppose affirmative action - that's a good start... the moment they start to impose 50% quotas I will be up in arms... the moment they continue privatisation, the moment they come out with some ludicrous claim of some mythical 'Black Hole Of Budget', with countless billions unaccounted for by the Libs, the moment they set up some farcical 'commission of audit' with jobs for the girls and a few cronies, the moment they fail to change back some filth put in place by their predecessors .... I'll be on their ass...

I do find non-libs generally more rational or at least more reasonable.  Good on you guys for being critical no matter the party, unlike some diehard lib supporter.

We would expect a bi-partisan approach to corruption from the righties , they still only seem interested in the ABCC .

Unemployment is down because wages growth is well down. Simple as that.

I see no other lib supporter have response to the lowering of unemployment figures given other data.

Well I guess the lib party will have to keep working harder than this and actually provide positive news.

I wonder just how much the new tightened requirements for getting the dole has contributed to this

I wonder why Govco don't actually use the real figures of people looking for work and not just those drawing the dole?

I wonder what the results would be if "Full time work" was a prerequisite for being employed, not just a couple of hours a week?

Guess Ill never know, because Govco cant tell the truth, they have to lie and fiddle to make the facts reflect what they want us to believe.

Impossible. No award allows for less than a 3 hour shift.

I'm sure you are probably correct.  However, the political terminology/rhetoric is that you have part time work if  you work at least one hour a week.

*sigh* Yes, it is. How cant his be so hard to understand. Are you related to Mothra? Even if someone works a shift of 1 hour it cannot be declared and therefore can not be included in statistics.
