.... and man created God in his own image..... and I will bring thee a New Covenant.... and say unto you... love one another as you would previously have loved your religion..... for when all is equal then shall all come to pass in judgement equally before the Lord....

Thus spake the Prophet...

Prophet Syndrome I feel is a major turn off in a lot of Pentecostal churches these days.

I am not saying their are none. I am just saying their are more pretenders than not. Unfortunately they are not taken to task.

You do realise that he did not come to do away with the law.

You do realize he came to fulfill it. As the law prophesied His coming. Hence a new covenant between God and man.

What is the law?

The Law was the wages of Sin was death. Jesus Christ paid the full price fulfilling the Law forever so people can be forgiven of their sins and receive eternal life.

No one, won under the law, as all are sinners and the wages of sin is ultimately death being eternal separation from God. Jesus fulfilled that law and provided the free gift of Salvation for all mankind. That who so ever believes in Him and the gift of Salvation that He brings, shall have eternal life.

Do you ignore the Old testament?

Why would you ignore the old Testament it foretold the coming of Jesus Christ and the New Testament/Covenant.

So you agree with the author here?  -

New Testament Verses Which Demand Following the Old Testament

Many Christians claim that the Old Testament laws do not apply to us because Jesus was the “lamb” to clear away its rules and regulations.  This is just another scapegoat that Christians use to ignore the atrocities and bizarre laws commanded by their god.  Their preachers spoon feed them that the Old Testament is no longer binding so that they can excuse the majority of evil that the bible promotes.  I am so tired of Christians manipulating the scriptures so that they can assign a kinder nature to their God, that I have assembled a list of verses which clearly show that the Old Testament is not to be ignored.  Its laws should indeed be adhered to, for the New Testament demands it!

1) “For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished.  Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV)  Clearly the Old Testament is to be obeyed until the end of human existence itself.  None other then Jesus said so.

2) All of the vicious Old Testament laws will be binding forever.  “It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid.” (Luke 16:17 NAB)

3) Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets.  He hasn’t the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament.  “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.  Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place.” (Matthew 5:17 NAB)

I am sure she knows that they exist.  The word you want is ignore, and if more people from both of the big faiths ignored more of thier respective books then the world would be a better place.

Picking and choosing paragraphs between both books to compare contradictions and point out brutalities and exhortions to kill and rape is an idiot exercise at best but one enjoyed by idiots very much.

Have fun.   Grin Grin

The whole point is if you do not accept Jesus Christ's salvation that he bought you , you will not be saved. Pure and simple. Not make up your own interpretation as everyone wants too.

Incorrect , they don't apply because they were changed.

Rubbish, crying over someone sticking their head in the oven after being told they will get burnt then blaming the oven is hilarious.

The Bible prophesies the coming of Jesus Christ that provided Salvation for all mankind and taught love your enemies and pray for them.

Yeah that's really evil. Your problem is you don't want to be accountable for your own evil ways.

I am so tired of angry little people who have no idea of what scripture is saying who need to grasp at straws by ignoring the rest of the testaments and laws in order to make out utter nonsense all because they are upset that they can't fault the teachings of Jesus Christ. God forbid they received eternal life Grin

Do some study.

The laws of the Jews are commonly divided into moral, ceremonial, and judicial. The moral laws are such as grow out of the nature of things, and which cannot, therefore, be changed - such as the duty of loving God and his creatures. These cannot be abolished, as it can never be made right to hate God, or to hate our fellow-men. Of this kind are the ten commandments, and these our Saviour has neither abolished nor superseded. The ceremonial laws are such as are appointed to meet certain states of society, or to regulate the religious rites and ceremonies of a people. These can be changed when circumstances are changed, and yet the moral law be untouched. A general in an army may command his soldiers to appear sometimes in a red coat and sometimes in blue or in yellow. This would be a ceremonial law, and might be changed as he pleased. The duty of obeying him, and of being faithful to his country, could not be changed.

Vicious Old Testament laws will be binding forever Grin Grin Grin.

Do you know what laws he was talking about ? Of course they will not pass away in the context they were given. You get upset over people being told not to put their head in the oven or they will get burnt. Then when the person purposely puts their head in the oven you cry foul and blame the oven. Then when God gives you a helmet that you can wear since you keep sticking your head in the oven so you won't get burnt you refuse to wear it Grin.

Priceless

Cruelties of the old testament about what happened to people who raised their hands against God. Even after they were told what would happen to them Grin. Lets make sure we avoid the New Covenant God made with man as that makes a fool of you. You must stay in the Old Testament and try a good cherry pick to satisfy your anger at having no salvation and being convicted by the Holy Spirit that you are a sinner.

Cruelties like receiving the free gift of salvation through God giving His only Son to pay the intimate price so you could receive eternal life , FREE. While you choose to bitch and moan how nasty he is. My goodness get a grip.

Your problem is you don't want to be accountable for your own actions. Since you live in a world full of sin you revel in it just like was prophesied by Jesus Christ himself. You have made your decision to reject salvation and go on the old I hate God bender quoting stuff you have no idea about.

So be it. You have free will be content with your decision but when you are going to tell others how it is make sure you know what you are talking about before hand.

-------

Maybe next time use your own brain instead of quoting some other nutjobs words from evilbible .com Grin
