Ash, if turning your own finger back on you is drama queening, you've lost the plot.

Turn my own finger back on me ? you have not done so yet.
You drama queened deal with it.

Correct because what you believe is that we must follow the Gospel. Ergo...

What I believe may have fault because of many reasons. The basic Gospel message does not have fault so that's why I have NEVER said believe me but believe JESUS. Try as you may to put words into my mouth you won't.

Setanta wrote on May 1st, 2016 at 12:31am:
Your god is a sinner and a giver in to temptation and lets other righteous men be tortured, their families killed, be afflicted with pox, just to win a bet with Satan, what a set up Satan did on your God.

If that's what you think then don't believe in Him I fail to see your problem. Clearly you have no idea what a sinner is.

I did. No matter.

If what you believe may be at fault, perhaps what you believe about the Gospels is at fault.?

That is what his book tells me about him.

How do you know this isn't what your god did to hoodwink you? Think about it, if you created people to think for themselves, would you want sheep?

Sinners are people they need a shepherd so as a Shepherd sure I would bring the innocent sheep into my fold. Simple really.

As far as hoodwinking that's simple look at the fruits produced by the Holy Spirit of said God.

Setanta wrote on May 1st, 2016 at 12:43am:
No, you would cherish the ones that used that free will and gift of mind. Yet, here you are, a sheep.

I am not sure why you are telling me who I would cherish, maybe to further your rant against God perhaps ?

Big deal a sheep of God how awful. Would you prefer me to be a ravenous rabid Wolfe running free ? My goodness.

Satan is the great deceiver? Not a minor one? Have you ever thought you are being deceived? Lucifer, the morning star.

Yes I have, in various Churches by leadership. That's why I confronted them and put them in their place according to the words of Jesus Christ.

Have you ever thought you are ?

Who is your god's shepherd?

What are these fruits? Sydney Mardi Gras?

Both Satan and Jesus are identified as the morning star.

It does matter because you didn't. So no need to try and make out you did.

Perhaps your understanding of the Gospels is at fault.

That is what you interpret the bible to tell you about Him. Maybe try formal proper study instead of self interpretation to fit your current paradigm of the world.

Well, I'm not blaming god for the woes of this world, or in my own life... because he's your (inconsistent) fantasy, not mine.

Yet you wouldn't know if He existed or not according to your fantasy. Funny that.

Explain to me why scepticism shouldn't be the default position?

Incorrect, God created man with the option for Him to choose to Sin.

That's what I said.

God built the potential to sin into us. Disgraceful behaviour.

Worse than that. We were as innocent as babes, knowing not right from wrong. God, as any good parent would, turned on the bar heater and said "don't touch", then went to the shops to get some milk. On retuning he found a child with a burnt hand. He damned that child.

Love, His Words and His Son, The Holy Spirit, and the Salvation He brought us. Those are His Shepherds.

Galatians 5:22-23New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is
no law.

The point is this, both Jesus and Satan, to a certain extent, have similarities to lions. Jesus is similar to a lion in that He is the King, He is royal and majestic. Satan is similar to a lion in that he seeks to devour other creatures. That is where the similarities between Jesus, Satan, and lions end, however. Jesus and Satan are like lions in very different ways.

The idea of a “bright morning star” is a star that outshines all the others. Satan, as perhaps the most beautiful creation of God, probably the most powerful of all the angels, was a bright morning star. Jesus, as God incarnate, the Lord of the universe, is THE bright and morning star. Jesus is the most holy and powerful “light” in all the universe. So, while both Jesus and Satan can be described as “bright morning stars,” in no sense is this equating Jesus and Satan. Satan is a created being. His light only exists to the extent that God created it. Jesus is the light of the world (John 9:5). Only Jesus’ light is self-existent. Satan may be a bright morning star, but he is only a poor imitation of the one true bright morning star, Jesus Christ, the light of the world.

In his defense, he blamed women for most of it. We've been properly persecuted for centuries.

Only got granted souls after a few centuries. And then only by 1 vote, i'm led to believe.

Original sin, innit?
