God created man, and therefore sin. Not sure you understand the concept of omniscience.

And our sins, for the majority of our existence on earth, have been minor problems, compared to environmental factors.

Incorrect, God created man with the option for Him to choose to Sin.

That's what I said.

God built the potential to sin into us. Disgraceful behaviour.

No that's not what you said at all. You said God created your sins. He did not, you did. Disgraceful behavior.

No. We blame Eve, dear.

Worse than that. We were as innocent as babes, knowing not right from wrong. God, as any good parent would, turned on the bar heater and said "don't touch", then went to the shops to get some milk. On retuning he found a child with a burnt hand. He damned that child.

Except it wasn't a child, it was grown adults who damned themselves. Just like they trash themselves today making free choices.

Love, His Words and His Son, The Holy Spirit, and the Salvation He brought us. Those are His Shepherds.

What are these fruits? Sydney Mardi Gras?

Galatians 5:22-23New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is
no law.

Setanta wrote on May 1st, 2016 at 12:56am:
Both Satan and Jesus are identified as the morning star.

The point is this, both Jesus and Satan, to a certain extent, have similarities to lions. Jesus is similar to a lion in that He is the King, He is royal and majestic. Satan is similar to a lion in that he seeks to devour other creatures. That is where the similarities between Jesus, Satan, and lions end, however. Jesus and Satan are like lions in very different ways.

The idea of a “bright morning star” is a star that outshines all the others. Satan, as perhaps the most beautiful creation of God, probably the most powerful of all the angels, was a bright morning star. Jesus, as God incarnate, the Lord of the universe, is THE bright and morning star. Jesus is the most holy and powerful “light” in all the universe. So, while both Jesus and Satan can be described as “bright morning stars,” in no sense is this equating Jesus and Satan. Satan is a created being. His light only exists to the extent that God created it. Jesus is the light of the world (John 9:5). Only Jesus’ light is self-existent. Satan may be a bright morning star, but he is only a poor imitation of the one true bright morning star, Jesus Christ, the light of the world.

Much like people running around putting shyte on God for no reason or a silly one where God is not acting like their candy man and they can't take responsibility for their own holes they dig that effects everyone else. Much easier to blame God.

Well, I'm not blaming god for the woes of this world, or in my own life... because he's your (inconsistent) fantasy, not mine.

Yet you wouldn't know if He existed or not according to your fantasy. Funny that.

Explain to me why scepticism shouldn't be the default position?

It should be I never said it shouldn't.

Good, glad we cleared that up.

The inconsistent ramblings that make up organised religious texts, and most of the hippy spiritual stuff, beggar belief.

In his defense, he blamed women for most of it. We've been properly persecuted for centuries.

Only got granted souls after a few centuries. And then only by 1 vote, i'm led to believe.

Original sin, innit?

Not only that, he knew what sins we would commit and created us anyway so he could condemn us. Sounds suss to me.

There's only one way to avoid a catch 22, don't play the game.

Actually mankind created sinners, do some research before going further seriously.

Nope. All Eve's fault.

She got herself an education. She wasn't supposed to do that.

God got shirty. Damned us all.
