Remember when Labor said that they projected they'd deliver a surplus of a few million dollars but it actually ended up being something like a $20bn deficit? A surplus becomes a $20bn deficit.

Mr Hockey told the National Press Club last year: ‘‘Based on the numbers presented last Tuesday night we will achieve a surplus in our first year in office and we will achieve a surplus for every year of our first term.’

On Monday, Mr Hockey said he had not retreated from the pledge.

‘‘Our commitment is emphatic,’’ Mr Hockey told ABC Radio’s AM program.

‘‘Based on the numbers published today, we will deliver a surplus in our first year and every year after that.’’

You seem to have missed 2014 and 2015 Armpit , is that because its the two highest of them all  Cheesy

2014-15 deficit: $29.8bn

2015-16 deficit: $31.2bn

2016-17 deficit: $17.2bn (projected)

2017-18 deficit: $11.5bn (projected)

Since when is $29.8bn and $31.2bn more than the $47bn and $43bn deficits produced by Labor in 2011-12 & 2012-13 respectively? Mathematics isn't your strong suit, is it?

What Leftwinger won't admit is the Senate tactics used by Labor to scuttle any attempts by the Coalition to fix up the mess that Labor created.

Do we really have to break out the numbers to show you just how wrong you are? Like, for example, the $20bn+ surplus left by Costello that Swan turned into $27.1bn deficit inside of 12 months?
