All non EBA staff get annual bonuses.

Finance Accountants, Accounts Payable clerks, Customer Service, marketing associates, legal, PR.

Only ones who don't are sales force who get bonuses every quarter based on sales metrics and union people who are not included in the bonus program.

Oh and all those guys get superannuation in their monthly pay btw!

So they get superannuation paid as required by law - then this upstart VP wants to argue over bonus?  Paying superannuation as required by law is a standard cost of business... why is there any argument over bonus on productivity as well?

Surely the two are totally separate.

Let me try again - paying mandatory superannuation is a part of the salary/wage package in Australia and is required by Law...  your company pays that to the floor workers without any argument.... so any company wanting to operate here accepts those basic components of wages/salaries etc... how and why can it be associated with any payment of a bonus for productivity etc for those on salaries .. and how and why can there be any trade-off between compulsory superannuation and bonus for work performed and benchmarks achieved?

I think your VP needs a little education.... or a good foot up the arse....

I can argue this all night... but I really have to go to bed.....
