It's a bit insensitive to the public mood in the UK. They've had terrorists bombings, a soldier beheaded etc and they know that Muslims are as popular as a fart in an elevator right throughout Europe at this moment. So what do the do-gooders do- make a Muslim mayor of London. Isn't that a spit in the face to the British people. That's why the western world is starting to turn against the left. I like things like this. It furthers my cause. Thanks.

Eight Labour politicians registered an interest in becoming a candidate for Mayor.

Registered supporters and members of the Labour Party then elected Sadiq Khan as the preferred candidate.

Sadiq Khan then went to the mayoral election, against eleven other candidates, and was elected as Mayor by 1.3 million members of the public.
