I still havent seen a word from yourself about this mans employees failure to receive their entitlements.

I have made plenty of comments.  Firstly, they were never his personal employees.  They always were the employees of a Company like BHP.

Secondly, he did not sack them or fail to pay their entitlements.  The Administrator did after ignoring a $M23 package Clive had offered to save the lot of them.

Bullshyte ... then why did "he"(not the company) give 50 odd of them a Mercedes & OS holidays?

You're so full of it Aussie ... "it's not his company so he's not responsible ... but he's the sole shareholder so he should be paid his dividend & he's entitled to do what he wants with the profits... he didn't sack the employees & not pay the employees their entitlements ... the Administrator did" ....

more crap .... he wouldn't have had to go begging off the state govt if he'd left some money in the kitty.

Unbelievable.

No wonder this country is on the path to being rooted with people like you with logic like yours defending CONMAN grubs like Clive Palmer.

..you are telling us its the LAW that anyone can have a business  rip the guts out of it whilst the market is going really well...then when trading slows.... it goes into receivership because the cash flow has stalled and there is  nothing in the bank frank.......

and the sole owner doesnt have to face any consequences because he can do what ever he chooses because its his money.. and he doesnt in fact employ people the business does....so he owes not a thing...

because as you say its the LAW... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

well I never... I knew Qld had some dodgy LAWS but not this DODGY no wonder clive is sticking his thumb up at all those employees..

no wonder QLd is full of con men.. they must be laughing all the way to the bank..

To do what Palmer has done

& yes I'm well aware many other shysters like him

have done & are still doing it

that doesn't make it right

& the "LAW" should be changed.

Nor does it change the fact that Palmer is a slimey grub

and as far as I'm concerned he should be sold up lock stock & barrel

so the QNI workers get their entitlements(1st)

& then as many creditors paid what they are owed.

Aussie, the fact that Palmer went beserk and bought Mercs for some of his workers in an extraordinary year doesn't excuse for one second the pilfering of his workers' superannuation funds. Let's get this thing in perspective huh?

I agree ... especially in the case of private or family owned companies .... they should make the owners personal liable for the companies debts.

Clive Palmer had a huge windfall of QN profits from 2002-2011 which probably created most of his wealth.

However, Palmer took risks for that. He purchased a losing business that BHP was dumping and got lucky.

The government made a lot of money in company and income taxes from QN profits as well. The government made a lot of money and didn't take any risk.
